Actually i do like coffee, quite a lot but I'm having a bit of a major Tommy crush at this moment in time. So I'll spend this evening re-living the last time i saw him and singing along to all the songs of his i own. Anyway that's enough about that beautiful boy for now. I've never worn this playsuit out yet and I'm not sure whether i actually should, what do you think? I've had this since the beginning of summer but everytime i put it on i just wasn't sure whether it looked right but now i think its actually looks okay it is really comfortable as well. I was worried that because i am abit of a fat girl and pretty short that the wouldn't hang right and the draw string around what is supposed to be the wast i think does look a little odd sometimes i think I've actually made it work. My beauty of a plan is to wear this in the winter with leggings underneith and my boots as well as the jumpers, scarfs and gloves I'll be wearing!

Right so my playsuit is from George at asda and was £14. The long sleeved t-shirt layered underneith is from Dorothy Perkins (where a fair amount of my clothes come from anyway, apart from charity shops, haha) my leggings are Evans and my back was picked up a year or so ago in a charity shop and it was £4.50 and it is my favourite bag ever!

so does it look bloody awful or do you think i've sort of gotten away with one of the pieces a chubby girl would traditionally shy away from?

Antique Chair and Vintage Flare.

I took these photographs while i was on holiday and just completely forgot to post them up which is typical of me, i swear a goldfish has a better memory! Anyway these are a couple vintage scarves from my now becoming vast collection of them. On the chair you can just see the tip of a pale blue one and this is a tourist scarf which my grandmother got in the 1950's and i found it in boxes when i was sorting through my grandads things. I don't think i have worn it out yet but once i find something i feel perfectly happy wearing it with I'm sure i will.
The other two scarves are either thrifted or given to me by people, the gold and black one you can see picture spent the majority of the summer draped around my neck, it just makes the plainest outfits look a little more interesting. And then the final scarf is one i picked up this summer in a charity shop for £1.49 and that is also lovely and i have worn it with everything from shorts and a blouse to my kaiser chiefs shirt from 2007.
oh and the chair isn't mine its just in the room i stay in while were on holiday in Suffolk. though i wish it was my chair, everything in the place is quite old fashioned especially my room which is why i think i really like just sitting in the really deep window sill and reading.
so is anyone out thrifting this weekend if your in Manchester give me a shout on here I'd utterly love to join you.

Help, I need somebody,Help, not just anybody,Help, you know I need someone, help. When I was younger, so much younger than today,I never needed anybody's help in any way.But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.Help me if you can, I'm feeling downAnd I do appreciate you being round.Help me, get my feet back on the ground,Won't you please, please help me?And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,My independence seems to vanish in the haze. But every now and then I feel so insecure,I know that I just need you like I've never done before.Help me if you can, I'm feeling downAnd I do appreciate you being round.Help me, get my feet back on the ground,Won't you please, please help me.When I was younger, so much younger than today,I never needed anybody's help in any way.But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.Help me if you can, I'm feeling downAnd I do appreciate you being round.Help me, get my feet back on the ground,Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.

Dicta-coated miracles and then one day the curtain called...

this is Paloma's brand spanking new video and isn't it just an utter beaut. Though to me every single lyric of Paloma's is just beautiful. And just look at the costumes in this little jem! And know i am not calling them clothes because really they are far to spectacular to just be items of clothing. Paloma is channelling her full on show girl - feathers included.

My favourite style in the whole video is her lounging on the bed in the green get up. Though personally i think its the hat that just draws me to the ensemble, such a lovely yellow and i mean any hate with the netting a little over your face is a winner in my books. Finally I am very much trying to recreated her hair colour on me at the moment but only a little at a time because i truly love no, adore ginger hair. yes i know I'm a freak. But its just my way.

Ballet slippers and frilly knickers.

Have you ever thought how much the spirit of dance influences peoples fashion choices? Most importantly the art of ballet, it’s smooth, graceful, and precise movements have a ghostly glimmer that no other style of dance can quite match up to. From ballet flats to leg warmers, cardigans to sequin embellishments, there is no denying that the classic art of ballet has stimulated countless inspired looks.

The beautiful soft pastel palette of ballet colors; pink, blue, nude, and gray only seek to enhance the fluid and airy movements of the dancers.

Dreamy and angelic, ballerinas are the pinnacle of sophistication and elegance. They dress for comfort and chic-ness on and off of the stage. French bombshell Brigitte Bardot was a ballerina before starring in her first film, and actually studied her craft in Paris at one of the most sought after companies of the time.

So when you put on that nude cardigan with an embellished collar, or those studded ballet flats, think about where and when they originated: with the culture of the ballet. And remember to make sure you have perfect posture while wearing your ballet inspired pieces because if anything ballerinas are known for being elegantly graceful and for having precise posture.

Yes the day as come for dittos Autumn/winter collection for Evans and it is utterly stunning!
And one of my favourites is the cute little polka dot dress on the picture above as well as a utterly pretty blue velvet dress, and i have to confess i have seriously fallen in love with these two pieces. This time i won't miss out on a piece from the collection as last year i didn't get my chance to grab one of the amazing dresses so I'm still scouring eBay for the little beauty.
In a few weeks i am hopefully going to Liverpool so i will go and try my chance at bagging one of her signature pieces. I just wish i had a money tree right now so i could get more than just the one piece! What do you think of the new collection is it better than the last or just different?

I'll find it on eBay one day and just fall in love. I shall do a proper review and pure, pure love post on this beauty once every things out.

These were taken at my best friends 18th party at her house. In the end i kind of regretted choosing this outfit i was absolutely boiling! But i guess that's what you get for wearing synthetic fabrics in a warm place. Though i did get a few compliments on how nice i looked so even though i ended up a sweaty mess it was apparently worth it? haha.
This was a special outing for the shirt and shorts I'd never worn them out of the house until last Saturday. And i have to admit i do think this outfit looks darling its just i might stick to wearing it tin winter. The shirt was from a charity shop for £1.95 i found it on a recent trip where i also got a few other little bargains which I'll show you some time in the future. My shorts are from Dorothy Perkins in the sale everyone thinks there a skirt! Its the pattern that originally drew me to them but not its because they do actually look nice. The shoes and tights are Primark and Evans like usual. As well as my cardigan which is another old Dorothy Perkins one.
While I'm here I'll also apologise for the gormless expression on the first photo my friend took them and i wasn't ready! But oh well they didn't turn out too badly.
So tell me guys do you still love florals?

Hell yeah i'm releasing my "inner animal" haha utter bollocks i know.
Anyway on a less silly note. I took these photos for my rocky kind of Debbie Harry look and my Blondie pages in my sketchbook. My little friend 5 year old nina from rainbows puts me to shame. She does these poses much better than i do!
Well now about the clothes its not particularly stylish or anything because i was literally changing in my shed and using my web cam for the shots while my laptop was balanced on buckets. Yeah i know multi talented me. haha. So in these pictures i am wearing Evans leggings which were something like 7 pound, then my long sleeved black t-shirt which i basically wear under anything from dresses to vest. Then here is something new you've not seen before, my new (ish) vintage shirt its from the 80's i think because i cut out some seriously bad disheveled shoulder pads i might sew some new ones in....one day and this was thrifted for about £2.99.
Then of course to finish the look my patent Doc Martins and a bit of red lippy.
So you do think i released my inner Debbie Or do i just look more like Harry?

"Can't stay at home, Can't stay at school. Old folks say, 'You poor little fool'. Down the street, I'm the girl next door. I'm the fox you've been waiting for. Hello Daddy, Hello Mom, I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb. Hello world, I'm your wild girl. I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb. "

I just wanted to show you this little music video from the upcoming film "The Runaways" and i am utterly excited about this beauty! Its based on the rock sensations of Joan Jett and her all girl band of musicians.

Its not just the fact of who the cast is, to why i'm excited. It's all the style from that era, huge silver platforms as well as cat suits and everything! Anyway once i've actually seen the film and not just got giddy about it over youtbue videos i'll let you know a run down of the those sha-bang.

Thanks everyone whos been commenting resently its super lovely to know what you think and that people actually read and comment on this, so a big thanks to all of you and keep the comments coming.

This is just a little ditty of an outfit post from last night. Even though i wasn't feeling thrilling after blacking out and falling yesterday morning it was my best friend's 18th so we went out for a bit of a meal then some other went on to town but i decided to call it a night before the mass of drinking started.
So here is what i decided to wear, i actually love this dress it was only a fiver from primark and normally i don't fit into there clothes but this is just right and lovely. The reason i picked up this dress is, fr once its polka dots that aren't black and white (all i ever used to wear is black and white, polka dots, stripes anything) its also the right length not to long or too short! and the pretty kind of detailing on the front is so darling wearing this i want to be sipping tea out of china cups and eating fairy cakes.
Then i just paired it with a couple of vintage bracelets which i found in a charity shop had to have. (though one needs a chain added so it doesn't fall off and get lost) And then i added my little navy blue vintage bag, i hardly use this due to the small handle but it does look right when I'm just going out for a meal and don't need to what feels like a truck load of stuff with me.
i just finished off my pieces with leggings and pumps from Evans (if anyone would like to I'd be really happy to take a new pair of size 5 EEE ones off you, the ones I'm wearing can talk to me.) and then my trusty navy cardigan which is from Dorothy Perkins, though you can tell i wear it too much because there's a painting strain on the back.haha
so who's out scouring the vintage/high street/Charity shops this weekend, I'd love to know what you've all found.

All i want is a picture of you.

"All I want is a room with a view, A sight worth seeing, a vision of you, All I want is a room with view, oh-oh I will give you my finest hour, The one I spent watching you shower, I will give you my finest hour, oh yeah All I want is a photo in my wallet, A small remembrance of something more solid, All I want is a picture of you" - Blondie, Picture This.

I find this woman seriously amazing. Her voice is insanely good in such an alternative way!
Soon I'll post some of Blondie's videos up because i love them so much, and its not just the music i find totally inspiring it's what she stood for as well. Debbie Harry was a show woman nobody messed her around she was the front woman he kept everything together even when behind the music it wasn't. I'm not going to pretend that Blondie weren't as you would say off the rails. I know every well that the majority of the time they were off there heads with drugs and what ever else, But in those times i suppose its what certain musicians did. But to me none of that matters because some of the meaning behind Debbie's lyrics are really inspiring for that era.
If you read the lyrics from picture this they are showing the role reversal which was starting to happen, "The one I spent watching you shower" well woman were always known to be looked at due to there beauty or whatever, not men. So here Debbie is announcing that she wants a picture of this man because she watches him like men look upon women and well there's nothing wrong with that? so why should they have a problem with her looking at them? She also states that having photographic evidence of the person in the song is like making the relationship solid or official. Through out all the lyrics the obvious message is that sometimes women are looked at like objects by men so women can look at men like objects. I think this is showing that in the social climate at that time women had as powerful jobs as men and became equal and Debbie is just cementing this with some of the lyrics.
Now onto her fashion! Debbie was known for what seemed like long t shirts and socks when she was out on stage, though she did always have her legs out but i guess if you've got em flaunt em! (in the bottom picture you can just see her stage style). Even though shoulder pads were a huge trend i don't think I've ever seen a image of Debbie wearing a full on 80's set. She was her own Style and scene and that is why i love her. Debbie's hair was also what made her "Blondie" in the early years of the band she did the infamous colour herself, and that is why there was always a piece of dark hair at the back because she couldn't reach and this is what became her glam grunge style and made her different from all the rest. Also Debbie wore what she wanted to and wasn't dictated by fashion like many people today though other singers and actresses have tried to copy or have been inspired by her look no one will be able to fully pull it off other than the Blondie icon herself.
Right i feel i have now rambled on far to much but i do just utterly love this woman. And when i grow up i want to be just like her... minus the drugs.

I know the title doesn't really link to the pictures but I've been listening to Blondie all evening and have developed a hugge girl crush on Debbie Harry. Anyway these photographs were taken when i was out with my friends well these were just before we actually went out but still no matter. Have you noticed? i got my wonderful, wonderful bag! it fits a lot in as well like a normal sized deo bottle and everything ( i know this may sound strange but it was a really warm day)
So black always looks good but on a really warm day you actually feel like your baking, now i know what chickens feel like in ovens. My lace top is from tesco believe it or not and the sleeves are really pretty I'm not sure if you can tell on the images but they are kind of draped quite detailed for a supermarket i thought.
And i have my trusty leggings on from Evans which are the perfect length and so comfortable! Underneath my lace shirt i have a Marks and Spencer's vest on, i kept the look for this very simple because of the bag making such a statement. I also wore some heels which were black with a Lacey patterned finish. I did want to wear my Doc Martins but my friend forced me into my heels which i suppose in the end did look better. My amazing bag was a brilliant eBay find, i knew they no longer sold them in stores and they weren't online so i searched eBay and found a new one which was never used and still had the tags on. In the end including postage i ended up paying a tenner for it but considering it originally retailed at twenty i don't think i did too badly. I had a really fun night after getting lost a few times, haha. It was just some college friends who I've not properly seen since the beginning of summer and now its nearly the end, which is a shame in some ways but super exciting in others.
Do you like my Henry Holland bag? and the all black outfit, tell me what you think, and thank you for reading my posts as always.
