Label Lab at House of Fraser.

Top: c/o Label Lab at House of Fraser. Leggings: Matalan. Shoes: Evans. Hair Flower: Claireabellas Closet.

All I feel like I do is apologise for not blogging as much as I'd like to at the moment but I've been pulling extra hours at my new job as Christmas is always a crazy one!

The lovely girls over at House of Fraser sent me this top and another in a similar style to try out and as I'm currently looking for comfortable but put together outfits for my job I knew these would be perfect for just that. So far in the colder months I've worn a long sleeved tee under these tops and either left them loose or usually with this confetti printed one I belt it. Here I'm wearing a UK22 which really I didn't need to size up at all as I'd say this one is very generous, I could have easily even sized down to a UK18. I do however still love the shape and style of this top particularly how it flows. Some of the detailing which I unfortunately struggled to photograph (but can be seen on my YouTube video!) are the exposed sections on the back which are similar to a key hole look on a garment, they'll lovely and I'm sure will be wonderful for keeping cooler in the summer months!

I wanted the colours on the top to pop so kept the rest of my outfit muted. I however couldn't resist matching my lips to the deep rich purples on the print, I'm not sure if it works for me but make up is all about having fun anyway! The rose in my hair is also the newest edition to my hair flower collection and it's LOVE. I am a little unsure if I can fully pull it off for more than just special occasions as it's pretty huge but I don't care it's velvety and lovely!

The other top they also sent me, which you'll see in a YouTube video very soon is also on sale! And what a bargain!? I've worn them so much already and they wash very well with no ironing or fussing, which for a lazy gal like myself is perfect. To see the full range of Plus Size at Label Lab click here.

Elomi Nina.

Nina Set: c/o Elomi Lingerie. Cardigan: Dorothy Perkins. Hair Flower: Claireabella's Closet.

Yes another lingerie post for you today and this one has been a long time coming! I took these photos what feels like forever ago but due to all sorts I've only just had chance to post about this darling set from Elomi. I also really wanted to get this up before The Plus Size Awards but I'm glad I didn't now as I'm happy to announce that they actually won best lingerie! Which was amazing and a huge celebration all round! I will be posting about the awards separately as soon as I can as it was amazing!

Normally I'm not an unpadded bra kind of girl. I just don't trust them, maybe it's the pure fear of potentially having some form of a nip slip but with the Nina I do feel a little more comfortable with it as the fabric is thicker. It also still gives me good shape under my tops and dresses where sometimes I worry I won't feel supported in an unpadded bra, with this though I don't feel like that which is always a good thing! Here I'm wearing a 38DD which has always been my size with Elomi every time I've been fitted by their lovely ladies. Another thing I love about this set is the knickers and that they're pretty big! I feel well covered as I do love a big pair of Bridget Jone knickers and these are comfy enough for me to wear all day without getting annoyed at them, which for me is a rarity!

I finished the look in a vintage style so hair flower, eyeliner and painted red lips which I think works well with the details on the underwear set (which initially I was worried may look a little mums but actually I love it now!) Over all a comfortable and cute set which I feel comfortable enough to wear most of the day, until I get in from work and run for my pjs!

A more Wintery Wardrobe with Navabi.

Coat: c/o Navabi (now only available in grey.) Dress: Asos. Necklace: Black Heart Creatives. Shoes: New Look.

I feel like I start each blog post by apologising for not posting all that much but these last few months haven't been easy for me and unfortunately my blog has taken a hit, I do recall saying I'd post a video explaining all but I'm still trying to do so. Anyway I've been desperate to share this amazing coat with you which the lovely team over at Navabi sent me to style up! I actually took these photos n early November but unfortunately due to unexpected things in life I've only had chance to sit down and post them for you now.

in one sentence I genuinely ADORE this coat. I feel like Cruella De Vil which I'm cool with if it means I get to swoosh around in this beauty. Here I'm wearing the 18/20 which is plenty big enough for me and I also have room in so I'd say it's very much true to size if not a little generous. It's comfortable and can be dressed up or down but I feel fabulously dramatic in it that I just have to put on a slick of lipstick and make effort in general! It's not a heavy coat so I don't overheat in it which is a rarity for me with my past winter coats as I usually end up way too warm and overheating! I also just have to mention how beautifully packaged this came to me, Navabi sure know how to make an impression!

Lace and Suede with New Look Inspire.

Lace Bralette and Skirt: c/o Inspire at New Look. Necklace: Topshop. Sunglasses: Specspost. Bolero: eBay. Shoes: New Look.

I'M BACK! Sorry I've been so quiet lately but a lot of things have been going on that I just couldn't put into written words but I'm hoping I can make a little catch up video soon so explain all.

Anyway I've been wanting to post about this cute as hell look for what feels like forever but I've only just had chance to properly sit down where I felt like writing again. New Look Inspire were kind enough to send me a whole bag of treats back at the end of September and the stunning bralette and skirt were two of the pieces and originally I wasn't sure how to style them but I'm really glad they work so well together. Also sorry about the creases in the skirt I wasn't sure how or whether to iron it and my mum wasn't in to ask when I was taking the photos, but it still looks cute right?!

Here in the skirt I'm wearing a UK20 I'd say it's true to size but snug so if you'd wish to wear it lower on your waist than I have you may wish to try the size up to see. It's not the shortest skirt I've ever worn but it's also not the longest as I stand at around 5'2 the skirt hits the bottom of my thighs, as you can see in the photos by catching a glimpse of the bottom of my tattoos. For me this isn't a problem at all but I know if you're taller it may be something to keep in mind! The bralette I'm wearing in either 1XL or 2XL and I utterly adore this, it's something I've worn numerous times already for either a night out with a backless jumper or just lazing around my room because it makes me feel almost a little bit sexy and that's no bad thing in my book! It's not overly supportive so when I've worn it out I have worn a bra under it just for my own peace of mind!

You can find my video review of this look over on my YouTube channel here!

Frills and Florals with Boohoo.

Top and Skirt: c/o Boohoo. Sunglasses: Specspost. Shoes: Primark. Necklace: Charity Shop.

This is my second instalment from the fab goodies Boohoo sent across to me when the sun was still just about shining! I simply ADORE this outfit but I just wish my photographs did it justice unfortunately I was struggling to find a good place in my garden to snap them! I'm also sorry if they seem a little creased I'm too impatient with an iron when there is clothes as cute as these for me to wear. The team over at Boohoo originally sent this outfit across for me to wear to a stunt they were planning but unfortunately it had to be cancelled but they were sweet enough to let me keep the pieces to show you on here and on my YouTube Channel!

I'm wearing the Betsy off the shoulder frill top  which surprisingly is from the main range which from my understanding technically only goes up to a UK14 however I knew from the fabulous Charlotte from The Good Owl (who I'd seen it on during the summer and knew I had to have it!) that it was a loose fit and elasticated so I thought I may get away with it and luckily I did as I really love this top! The sleeves are dramatic in the very best sense but have taken bit of getting used to when I'm wearing it. I decided to pair this with the Rosie printed a line skirt from Boohoo Plus which I'm wearing in a UK22 as with Boohoo generally speaking I always need to size up at least once with the clothes (but not the swimwear as you know from my previous post) I finished the look with my primary wedges which I've had for ages and will be gutted when they fall apart, my chain from the charity shop and cateye frames from Specspost.

So what do you think and here's to hoping that this post won't be the last one which the sun shining in it!

The Last of The Summer Swimwear!

Swimsuit: c/o Boohoo Plus. Necklace: Charity Shop. Scarf: H&M (old). Shoes: Primark. Sunglasses: Specspost.

I'm back with one last swimwear post for you! I'm genuinely really gutted that summer has basically gone now as I'll have to pack away all the fabulous swimwear I've gotten this summer! Normally I'm not a big fan of summer because I'm naturally a warm bodied person and summer just makes me uncomfortable but now I've embraced my body etc I've much more comfortable this time round!

When Boohoo got in touch with me back in September asking if I'd like to take part in a little stunt with them involving their plus size swimwear I basically jumped at the chance! Unfortunately it had to be cancelled but they were nice enough to still sent out the pieces for us to keep and put up on our blogs. I decided on this swimsuit which unfortunately has since sold out on the site but they do still have some really cute ones available including the Miley Tie Detail Bikini and the Plus Leila Detail Crop Bikini which you can see below.

This suit is really cute and comfortable to wear. Like I so often do with Boohoo I sized up to a UK22 but it seems for the swimwear range it seems that I really didn't have to as this suit is actually a little too big for me on the bum and back. I've also done a YouTube video with this which you can hear more of my thoughts on this suit there. This also has no padding at all which for some of you I'm sure isn't a problem but I prefer it, luckily I'm a dab hand with a sewing machine and can pop some swimwear cups in. I'm wearing a bra under this for the photos as I didn't want and accidental flash and so not to terrify any of you!

Overall I'm looking forward to what Boohoo Plus will bring to the table for next summer and I'll remember that it runs true to size, I've also got a really cute OOTD coming soon featuring Boohoo.

Flourish of Summer with New Look.

Playsuit: c/o New Look Inspire. Bag: (old) Primark. Necklace: Online. Shoes: New Look. Sunglasses: c/o Specspost.

I genuinely do feel this may be the last flourish of summer but what an outfit to have the last gasps of potential sunshine in?! I was lucky enough to receive a bag full of goodies from the Inspire range at New Look and this fabulous playsuit was one of the items. I really love playsuits but so often they don't really love me (#shortarseproblems) This one however fit's me surprisingly well! The waistband isn't riding up and the short style bottoms aren't too long or too short! Another plus to this is that it's super comfortable and easy to get on and off, I'm sure lots of you reading this will know the struggle of wearing a playsuit and needing to pee, sometimes they're so fiddly that you basically end up half naked in the cubicle!

This Playsuit isn't currently available on the site but if you'd like a bargain I think it'll be in the sale in-store and it's definitely worth the rummage through! Here I'm wearing a UK20 and I'd definitely say it runs true to size as it doesn't cling to any of my lumps and bumps which is always good. I styled it up with my Primark gold satchel which I unearthed from the back of my wardrobe and bargain shoes I picked up myself from New Look earlier in the year for the price of £3.00 I love these so much that I bought 2 pairs! My hair is loose waves racked over my head to produce more volume my hair because I'm having a phase where it just not really doing anything and driving me mad! You can check out my film of this look on my YouTube Channel here!

Have you checked out the latest pieces from New Look Inspire? I'm currently lusting over this Skater Dress as it would be perfect for work as it looks really comfortable and I just love the tie detail at the back!

Tee: Dom&Ink for Rock on Ruby. Leggings: Matalan. Sunglasses: Claireabella's Closet. Bag: Primark. Trainers: Converse.

This is just a quick post to show you what I wore while I was away on Holiday (I know it seems like forever ago now!) I was bit of a bad blogger while I was away and hardly took any photos of my outfits at all, even though I had my trusty photographer (older brother!) with us for the week! These were very quickly taken when we were visiting Woodbridge in Suffolk. We always try to go at least once while we're away as it has some brilliant charity shops and it's a pretty nice place to just wander around.

As soon as I saw the Dom and Ink Collection at Rock on Ruby I knew I had to get at least one top from the collection and this one just spoke to me! I've known about Dom's illustrations for awhile and   I just adore them so when I saw there was a chance I could wear them emblazoned across my chest I had to snap at the chance! Here I'm wearing a XXL but it's actually much more generous than I expected it to be so I think I could even just get away with a L depending on how relaxed a fit you wanted, but I just love it so I don't care anyway! Dom also has a seriously awesome book out called Map My Style which is currently on offer and you can get it here!

I'm currently also lusting over this "Lets Make Out" top and think it may JUST have to be my next purchase!

Jord Watches.

Converse: Kurt Geiger. Sunglasses: Prescription from Specspost.
Ely Watch: c/o Wood watches by Jord.

Back when it was still really summer (which in the reality of things wasn't all that long ago!) the fabulous people from Jord Watches offered me the opportunity to review one of their pieces and however generally speaking I'm not normally a watch wearer when I saw this Ely watch in Red Sandalwood  it was love at first sight! These watches are so well made and not at all uncomfortable to wear, they don't catch and pull my baby hairs on my arms or cut in. I feel like a proper grown up with this on (which is a rarity for me!)

I wore this a lot while on my family holiday in Suffolk and these photos were snapped on our last full day where we went to the beach and flew a kite and not any old kite but one that resembled an aeroplane to the huge excitement of the toddler sitting nearby us, lets just ignore that I'm 22 and my brother is 25.... I'm hoping to include this in more outfit shots in the winter months as I think it will look simply stunning against a knitted jumper sleeve and layered with some of my vintage bangles, which I only tend to wear in the winter as wearing lots of jewellery annoys me when it's hot! Also there is now full outfit shot as it was so windy that on any of them I'm pulling really weird facial expressions. Some would say they're excitement but to be honest I just think I look a little crazy!
I've found that this Jord Watch really compliments the vintage aesthetic I like to go for in day to day life as it's still looks classic but with a modern edge.

These are not only for women but they also have the most stunning Wooden Watches Men

Lipstick Loving with Lovedrobe.

Tunic: c/o Lovedrobe. Jeggings: Matalan. Clutch: Birthday present.  Flatforms: Next. Glasses: Max&Co at Specsavers. Belt: Asos Curve.

Before I type anything else I just want to say I LOVE THIS TOP/TUNIC
the print is my ultimate dream, I'm sure you're all aware by now that I'm more than a little addicted to lipstick and any print related to it and this is to die for. So when Lovedrobe asked if I'd like to review something from their site I knew it HAD to be this Lipstick print chiffon tunic. With it being chiffon I was worried that I'd get too warm in it as I'm just a really hot blooded person and always boiling but surprisingly for me this was fine! I decided to order a 22/24 as I wasn't sure on sizing and in the past I've usually had to wear a UK22 with Lovedrobe but I think I'd have gotten away with the 20 in this. However I do like it being more oversized so I can belt it and wear it with leggings. The sleeves are elasticated at the bottom with means you can roll them up like I have here or have them sitting on your lower arm.

Here I've dressed it up more but I've also worn it with a scruffy pair of converse when I've been running errands so it's really versatile. I'm hoping to go out for drinks in Manchester soon with one of my old friends and I think this top would work perfectly with some wedges and a (p)leather jacket. If you can't tell I'm totally smitten with this and I will definitely be keeping an eye out on Lovedrobes website to see if they bring anymore super cute prints out! This look is also over on my YouTube channel and you can check it out now here!

Fatkini.

Bikini: c/o Swimsuitsforall. Kimono: c/o Yours Clothing (old) Sunglasses: Red or Dead at Specsavers. Shoes: Evans.

This is my last of swimwear posts in collaboration with Swimsuitsforall unfortunately I've been a little slow with this one and the two piece has since sold out, however this little number is the same cut and style. I've said in pretty much every post I've done on these guys at how much I've genuinely loved each piece and that I've felt surprisingly comfortable in them and baring my chubby self and this Bikini or "Fatkini" is no different. I feel confident and comfortable and really wish the weather was still good enough to go to the beach!  I'm wearing either a US 18 or 20 here and they fit really well. Again I love the high waisted bottoms as they go over my belly button as the lower part of my stomach I don't exactly wish to show off as it's probably my least confident area. The top is comfortable and more supportive than a more basic bikini as it has underwires, it doesn't however give a good cleavage which is a pro or con depending on what you're looking for in swimwear!

I kept the accessories to a minimum but decided to opt for a cover up as it was colder than it looks on these photos and also because I thought this kimono from Yours would look really cute with the bikini! My sunglasses are pretty old from Supersavers but I love the chatty shape and the two tone colour! I've also filmed a YouTube video along with this which you can see here. (my hairs down in it as I thought it looked better, way prefer the bun though!)

Getting Curvety.

Dress: c/o Curvety. Necklace: Topshop. Shoes: Amazon. Sunglasses: Specspost. Hair Flower: Dorothy Perkins.

I took these photos only a few days ago yet it feels forever since it was sunny, I suppose we should get used to it now summer is fading! Anyway I digress when the fabulous team over at Curvety got in touch with me to ask if I'd like to review something from them I just couldn't refuse! Lately I've been wondering at my wardrobe whether I should include some more grown up and timeless items into it and I knew this Igigi Angie Dress would be a perfect addition. It still has an interesting print which you must know by now I'm always fond of but it's a little more classy and well timeless, the tie sleeve details also add some extra cuteness without being OTT. But what really won it for me was the fitted v-neck and the overall cut of the dress itself. It's fully lined and extremely well made but as it's not the cheapest dress on earth I'd certainly expect nothing less. My only slight negative is that the dress is pretty snug and though I'm perfectly comfortable wearing the UK20 here I think if anyone is more insecure about lumps and bumps being on show I'd recommend sizing up.

I decided to keep it classy with the rest of the styling and had my hair in loose 1940esque waves with a little hair flower to complete the ribbon in my chain necklace. I thought this dress deserved some form of heel so I added some of my favourite wedges which I also have in black! You can also see the full look on my YouTube Channel where I've began posting OOTD videos etc!

Retro Twist - Bandelettes Review.

Bandelettes: c/o Mish Online. Dress: Alice & You at Asos. Hair Accessory: Diablo Jo's from Claireabella's Closet.

So I may be having a Marilyn Monroe moment here on purpose but it was needed! I know that the dreaded "chub rub" is something that so many women battle with whenever they choose to wear a skirt or dress without tights I know I do and I've tried some anti chafe sticks, not very glamorous let me tell you that now! And my usual choice for under anything would be my comfort shorts or a pair of cut off leggings which certainly does the job but they aren't really pretty and when I'm dressing up properly it does make it feel ever so slightly less, well dressy when I pull them on!

So when Mish Online offered me the chance to try out a pair of Bandelettes I couldn't resist. I'd heard about these bands of lace with non slip silicone strips on the inside to battle the 'chub rub' but I have to admit I'd never tried these before because I was pretty sceptical as to whether they'd actually work but I'm happy to say they really do! Now I've not worn them for a full day where I've been walking for miles but I've worn them when I've been out for drinks etc and I didn't find any issue with them rolling down at all as this is something I was worried they may do. My only issue is that I may have measured my thighs wrong as on the edge nearest my knee they are a little loose and aren't tight to my leg there, however it hasn't seemed to compromise their performance and it's my own fault for my dodgy measuring skills! One of the things I love the most about these Bandelettes is that they look like the top of hold ups and I don't mind if my vintage dresses flip up and you see some of the lace as it looks so retro and cute!

You can find all the different styles of Bandelettes here!

Electric Tone with Swimsuits For All.

Swimsuit: c/o Swimsuits For All. Sunglasses: Specspost. Bag: H&M.

Today I'm showing you another fabulous number from Swimsuits For All, this time it's a One Piece. Back in the day when I used to swim ALOT my only option was usually an ill fitting and pretty hideous swimsuit. Luckily today I can find all different types of costumes to fit me that I love just like this Tropiculture Underwire! Yes you heard me it's underwired, this is something I feel is often lacking in swimwear having the support of an underwire, I mean generally speaking I don't desperately need it as the foam cups will do the job for me but I know many lovely women with a larger chest than me who would much prefer the more structured support. What I particularly love about this piece is that the underwires do not dig in at all and it are extremely comfortable to wear! The straps are also detachable if you don't fancy having the tan lines, the hooks on these are extremely sturdy so you don't feel like the straps will just ping off, which believe me has happened to myself in the past! Initially I wasn't sure if I'd like the print on this as it's something I'd not normally choose but once I'd put it on I decided I liked it after all. The print and neon accents really work together without being too in your face. Here I'm wearing a US18 I believe and in UK sizes I tend to be a solid 20.

I decided to accessorise with my new favourite bag and my trusty chatty sunglasses which have my prescription in which is ever so handy! Obviously if I was at the beach and not in my back garden I'd probably just have sunscreen on and no make up but I decided to add a pop of colour with my MUA velvet lipstick in Criminal.

I'm hoping to get to the beach at least one more time this year so I can make the most of all my fabulous plus size swimwear!
