OSP Summer Style Trials.

Hi Guys so I'm the final blogger involved in the OSP Summer Style Trials which started a few moths back when we were all contacted they supplied the clothes and we supplied the style after all of us have uploaded the final pieces onto our blogs there chosen judges will er judge? And so the look I've decided to go for is a retro mod kind of vibe as I'm loving buttoned up collars/shirts at the moment. I wanted to keep the outfit interesting so I choose to add pops of colour with the pink jazz shoe like pumps and my Lipstick and rings which tie the whole outfit together pulling the pink from the shoes to the blue tones of the dress.

This dress fitted me beautiful on the top but clung to my tummy a little to much for my liking so you could see my rolls! But some serious shape wear would easily sort that problem I just don't really own any. It is also a little long in the body for me but as I'm pretty short I'm used to it and prefer to pull things up slightly so they sit better regardless. Now the shoes I adore the colour, style everything about them! I've never owned shoes in such a lovely colour and they also match quite a few bags in my wardrobe so I can't wait to mix them up with more outfits. I've also never owned a white bag before and its not something I'd usually go for but I feel it lightens the outfit and makes my rings stand out too. My make up is just some eyeliner and a vibrant pink lipstick to pull everything together, I'm also loving my hair with this look as even though the sun was blinding me I felt really cool!

So over all I do feel I totally rock this look, and it makes me want to jump on a scooter and pretend I'm a mod's girl! Alas I'll never be but at least I can dress like one?

Tartan.

Just a little update to show you all some tartan loving that I have going on! I wasn't particularly happy with these pictures but I thought I'd post them up anyway as I didn't want to leave it more than a week without a post, shocking I know!

Thought I'd show you 2 new pieces and an item I've had since before Christmas and worn to death yet never blogged about, which is very unusual for me! The poncho/scarf concoction was a sale buy from Urban Outfitters and has been worn to death, I adore it and it looks lovely with almost everything in my wardrobe and more importantly it's comfortable and warm, though I have now lost 3 out of the 4 buttons which were on it. The denim jacket I picked up from a charity shop in my local town as its got the almost perfect over sized fit for me and is much better than my other denim jacket which I'll eventually be whacking up on ebay.

I saw the shirt on Amy's blog when she did a review for One Stop Plus and I instantly fell in love! So I patiently waited until I could justify buying it then snapped it up. After waiting for what felt like a year for it to arrive (it was a little over a week) I got it and loved it though it's a little too snug under the arms for my usual liking. It came with a black ribbon in but I added these two tartan ones though after taking these picture I gently pulled it over my head and the lace/netting ripped and I don't know how to fix it yet so I'm a bit gutted. Just thought I'd add the lippy I've got on came in my prize from Dani's blog birthday giveaway! It's lush!

OneStopPlus and a little bit of Vintage.

Finally got the chance to get this beautiful jacket up in a post. The Lovely people at OneStopPlus sent me this jacket to review after I saw it at the press day in September. These pictures do not do it justice I'll have to get some more pictures taken of me wearing with my brothers fancy camera to so you can actually see the pattern.

Now as much as I love this jacket there are some negatives for one its pretty snug I ordered it in a size 20 and it just fits sometimes I size up in jackets but then there always to big on the front and just don't fit and I actually prefer the more fitted look and the button at the front does do up! Another thing that isn't really a negative but annoyed me was when I first got it I put it on with my much loved denim skirt wet downstairs to show my mum and she told me I looked like a farmer, which yes is hilarious but also annoying as then after that comment I was totally stumped on what to wear this with so I've settled with my much loved plain black jersey pussy bow dress which I bought in the Next sale when I did a few shifts there over the summer. I really love this dress but I have a feeling this is the first time its been on the blog when really I wear it whenever I go out! Its just so comfy and can be dressed up or down.

The scarf I bought two weeks ago when I went to a vintage fair not far from my hometown my mum took me as she knows how much I love them. I actually own A LOT of scarves but I liked the blues and the pattern so I thought why not add to the collection? I'll show you some of the other pieces I bought that day in a separate post over the Christmas break. I do apologise that I look a little messy in these outfit pictures my hair was a bit greasy so I just pulled it up and stuck some deep coloured lippy on to compliment the shade of the jacket and buttons (the detailing on this is actually beautiful!)

If your after a light jacket for autumn I'd recommend this as it can be layered up under a coat not so much with layers under neath as its quite tight. it also looks really cute with dark denim roll ups and cute socks. Its still on the site now as far as I'm aware and is a good price for the quality. Ooooh and did I mention its lined with the nicest colour blue silky fabric!

I just wanted to quickly tell you about a survey onestopplus were involved with a few weeks ago where it was to find out what people prefer to see and its definitely more curvy celebrities people wish to be or have the figure of, so its great to see that big is beautiful!

OneStopPlus!

I do realise this is really quite picture heavy but I had such a great time at the event that it was had enough just trying to choose these pictures! I went to London almost a week ago for the OneStopPlus Event which was held at the Nails Inc Flagship store which means of course that we were lucky enough to get our nails done as well (I'll try get my hands on a picture of them sooner or later).

I had such an amazing time and just seeing all the bloggers and meeting the OneStopPlus team! We saw pieces from the up coming collection, some of which were already on the website and I have to say I was so impressed! I especially loved the blazers one being a tweedy check and the other being black with pleather detailing, I definitely want to try these out in my size. As this event was almost a week ago now ( this has sat in drafts for a few days I'm sorry!) I feel like I have forgotten some things but if you follow me on twitter you will have seen how excited I was over the event. We were also treated to goody bags when we left which had mini straighteners in, I've always wanted a pair!

I can't wait to do more things with OneStopPlus as I do really love the pieces they stock and I will certainly be purchasing from them in the future. I also want to just say how lovely the team were and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, like I may have felt at some places in the past. The event was also during Fashions Night out so everywhere was buzzing which I just adored.

Heart Bag.

Can you tell I've no longer got my brother and his decent camera to take my pictures now? These were taken with my camera and it wasn't even sunny! Hopefully I'll get a better camera soon, but for now we'll have to do with to much light flooding in.

I found this denim shirt in the never ending pile of clean washing which is waiting to be ironed but really it doesn't need ironing, I'm not bothered either way. I bought it from a charity shop about 2 years ago and it was a summer staple, would of been this year but I found it when summer was basically over! The brooch is vintage with the most beautiful glass and my auntie bought it me when she spent a few days with us while they were over here from New Zealand. The leggings are my usual Matalan ones. Now I shall talk to you about my bag it was a birthday present of my lovely friend Emily and I've not used it enough yet at all! Its from River Island which I generally never shop at but I always go in for a nosey and there bags are always amazing, these pictures don't do it justice! I tried to match my lips slightly to the bag and my nails but the bad quality of the photos means you can't really tell.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go to London for an event hosted by One Stop Plus which was at the Nails Inc flagship store in Mayfair so I got my nails done in a really cool coral/orange colour, I'll be posting about the event in the next week, so do look out for that!

A Little Yours Clothing, Part Two.

Here is another of the dresses the ever so lovely Yours Clothing sent me to review. Now online this dress seemed like a utter dream to me, I've been after a white lace vintage styled dress for quite some time mainly because all the lace I seem to wear is black! But when I first got this dress I wasn't so sure, the length seemed all wrong for me and generally not that flattering on my extremely apple figure. When I finally got round to taking some pictures of me wearing this I actually felt a lot better about it I don't know if its because my hair and make up is done and I've actually styled it with something or I'm just feeling better within myself? But I think this suits me better now than it did when I first put it on.

The lace itself is really soft as I know from buying pieces in the past it can sometimes be really scratchy on the skin and the lining underneath I am pleased to say is not that horrible sweaty fabric you tend to get with a lot of lined dresses. The armholes aren't to tight either which I was so happy about as generally I can get pieces to fit around my waist but then the arm holes aren't big enough and either don't fit at all or cut into my arm. I have a few minor downsides to this dress though when mine arrived there was a small hole in the back which is just where one of the frill bits is coming off I don't mind this as I can easily sew it back up and secondly I wish they'd also do this with long lace sleeves and a A-line mini skater dress style then it would be my perfect dress.

I have styled it with some new shoes I bought from Primark's wide fitting section and I adore them! And this lovely little suitcase style vintage bag I bought when I went to Antwerp with my College last November. The lipstick I'm wearing is from Rimmel and the rest of my make up was just foundation and some eyeliner around my eyes. For this I thought I'd do something new with my hair and I actually like it like this and may have to wear it like this more often!

Lastly I'm off to London for the One Stop Plus event on Thursday is anyone else going other than me, Naomi and La Cara?
