Winter Florals with Lavitta.

This is probably one of the more casual looks I've shown on my blog lately but I am certainly feeling it. With Christmas now being over (I'm genuinely gutted about it, I need more time I spent half of it tipsy or asleep!) I searching for comfortable clothes that I can still wear to work without looking like I've turned up in my Pyjamas and I think I've hit gold with this baseball style tunic from the team over at Lavitta sent across for me to style up. They also sent me this beautiful faux fur jacket which is so cosy without me feel massive and bundled up! I've actually worn the jacket with some of my dressier vintage inspired looks and it's so perfect. 

In the tunic I'm wearing a UK22 as I like them to be a little loose so I can wear them with leggings but I would have probably have been fine with my usual UK20 I love how this has the baseball style sleeves and the print is utterly lovely, initially I was a little worried that the pieces at Lavitta wouldn't suit me but I'm happy to say I love loads of their stuff! In the jacket I stayed with my usual size 20 as I don't like my jackets to be over sized as I feel if they're more fitted they'll sit on my figure better. I decided to style this up with some cute earmuffs which were an impulse buy from Primark and my glasses, which I never seem to wear on blog photos and I really should more as I need them all the time so I can actually see!

A more Wintery Wardrobe with Navabi.

I feel like I start each blog post by apologising for not posting all that much but these last few months haven't been easy for me and unfortunately my blog has taken a hit, I do recall saying I'd post a video explaining all but I'm still trying to do so. Anyway I've been desperate to share this amazing coat with you which the lovely team over at Navabi sent me to style up! I actually took these photos n early November but unfortunately due to unexpected things in life I've only had chance to sit down and post them for you now. 

in one sentence I genuinely ADORE this coat. I feel like Cruella De Vil which I'm cool with if it means I get to swoosh around in this beauty. Here I'm wearing the 18/20 which is plenty big enough for me and I also have room in so I'd say it's very much true to size if not a little generous. It's comfortable and can be dressed up or down but I feel fabulously dramatic in it that I just have to put on a slick of lipstick and make effort in general! It's not a heavy coat so I don't overheat in it which is a rarity for me with my past winter coats as I usually end up way too warm and overheating! I also just have to mention how beautifully packaged this came to me, Navabi sure know how to make an impression!

Winter Pampering with Bonmarche.

The lovelies over at Bomarche sent me and a friend the most fabulous pamper and snugly goodies for over the Christmas period unfortunately due to my grandad being in hospital over the season we didn't get chance to have a girly night in and when we planned to do it my bestie ended up with the norovirus which as you know is extremely nasty. I have since then had a bug myself, so it seems everything was against us! I decided to have a little pamper myself so this post wouldn't be any further away from the holidays!

I ran myself a lovely bubble bath, something I rarely have so it must have been cold over the last few weeks for me to have them. (FYI just in case you were wondering I do shower daily..) took a lovely soak something since getting my tattoo I'd avoided initially so not to dry out my skin with the hot water, hence the knee selfie popped on a face mask, one I luckily didn't react to unlike the one I'd put on originally. I have annoyingly teenage skin and more blocked pores than I'd ever like to admit, I feel like I've tried all sorts and nothing really clears them fully so if you have any tips or go to products let me know! After my bath I wrapped up in some old school pjs and this fabulous dressing gown, which may be the softest one I've ever worn! (to the point I may have slept in it on occasion) partnered with the fluffiest socks my feet have ever been treated to wearing and a snugly hot water bottle. Lastly not forgetting my cup of decaf tea kindly brought up to my room by my mum and yes that is a One Direction mug (#FanGirlForLife).

I'm hoping my bestie will be up for a girly night very soon so I can show exactly what lovely things we had planned! Bonmarche were also nice enough to send my friend the same things as myself, just in different colours! What do you do for a little winter perk up or pampering?

Sweater Weather.

 

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

It's finally that time of year where I raid my wardrobe for all the fine knits I have and usually end up buying more! I'm rarely a chunky knit kind of girl due to feeling like it bulks me up even more (though I do have a few exceptions to this rule in my wardrobe!) I also find the thicker knit means I get too warm so I find something fine that's easy to layer always works for me! So I decided to hunt down a few of my favourites from some stores I've always shopped with like Simply Be and new stores I've only just discovered like Esprit!

As you can see from the selection above apparently I have a thing for animal print! These pieces just caught my eye because the looked like the kind of garments that would work for being cosy at home as well as being warm but also relatively smart, this is something I always strive to be but rarely succeed with! Options 2 and 5 are just me having a little bit of fun, I adore the fluffy bubblegum pink but I just don't think it would be something I could pull off however it will firmly stay on my wishlist! This winter I'd also like to jump out of my comfort zone a little maybe not with colour but certainly with style. Number four is a loose polo neck style I always think polo necks in general look really chic and I can imagine them looking amazing with a circle skirt and brooch for that bit of vintage sparkle at Christmas but unfortunately I'm yet to feel comfortable wearing one for a period of time, so this would be my compromise to ease myself in to this style and shape. Finally I chose number 3 because JUST LOOK AT THE COLLAR, how pretty is that glitzy little neckline! Perfect for a party but still being comfortable and relatively warm at the same time! I'm sure I'm not the only one that always ends up getting a little chilly part way through an evening because I didn't want to have to carry a coat, so a fine knit jumper like this would be perfect!

Wellington Boots.

Apologies for the slightly grumpy face in the bottom photograph! I snapped these quickly before travelling back to Uni on Sunday evening. So I also look a bit of a mess too, I've not been feeling well this past week with my stomach pains playing up and mentally but I won't go into it as I prefer to stay positive on here!

The main reason for this post is to show you my beautiful wellies I was sent by the lovely people at Jileon Wellies. These ones are the Wide Calf Wellies and of course are in an adorable floral pattern which will definitely brighten up the gloomy winter weather that has finally set in for the long haul! They have a section on both sides of each wellington boot with adjust to your calf size and mine aren't stretched at all so these would be perfect for any girls with wide calves! My pair are a size 6 which is my size in none wide fit but these would of fitted perfectly in a five as they are slightly to big but are fine with a nice thick pair of socks.

OneStopPlus and a little bit of Vintage.

Finally got the chance to get this beautiful jacket up in a post. The Lovely people at OneStopPlus sent me this jacket to review after I saw it at the press day in September. These pictures do not do it justice I'll have to get some more pictures taken of me wearing with my brothers fancy camera to so you can actually see the pattern.

Now as much as I love this jacket there are some negatives for one its pretty snug I ordered it in a size 20 and it just fits sometimes I size up in jackets but then there always to big on the front and just don't fit and I actually prefer the more fitted look and the button at the front does do up! Another thing that isn't really a negative but annoyed me was when I first got it I put it on with my much loved denim skirt wet downstairs to show my mum and she told me I looked like a farmer, which yes is hilarious but also annoying as then after that comment I was totally stumped on what to wear this with so I've settled with my much loved plain black jersey pussy bow dress which I bought in the Next sale when I did a few shifts there over the summer. I really love this dress but I have a feeling this is the first time its been on the blog when really I wear it whenever I go out! Its just so comfy and can be dressed up or down.

The scarf I bought two weeks ago when I went to a vintage fair not far from my hometown my mum took me as she knows how much I love them. I actually own A LOT of scarves but I liked the blues and the pattern so I thought why not add to the collection? I'll show you some of the other pieces I bought that day in a separate post over the Christmas break. I do apologise that I look a little messy in these outfit pictures my hair was a bit greasy so I just pulled it up and stuck some deep coloured lippy on to compliment the shade of the jacket and buttons (the detailing on this is actually beautiful!)

If your after a light jacket for autumn I'd recommend this as it can be layered up under a coat not so much with layers under neath as its quite tight. it also looks really cute with dark denim roll ups and cute socks. Its still on the site now as far as I'm aware and is a good price for the quality. Ooooh and did I mention its lined with the nicest colour blue silky fabric!

I just wanted to quickly tell you about a survey onestopplus were involved with a few weeks ago where it was to find out what people prefer to see and its definitely more curvy celebrities people wish to be or have the figure of, so its great to see that big is beautiful!

Winter jumper.

Its officially December now which means its now acceptable to play my Christmas playlist at full volume, though I've been listening to it through my headphones since mid October... I also want to apologise that I look pretty rough here I've actually spent the majority of the week tucked up in bed at uni full of flu but I'm finally feeling a little bit more human so I took these before I left for home.

I'm wearing an amazing jumper I bought from the charity shop last Easter but haven't had chance to wear until now, it's not as baggy as my usually grandad jumpers but I love it all the same. The denim shirt under neath was also from the charity shop a few summers ago and I tend to just throw it over anything though generally its worn in the summer with leggings and a top this year I'm going to wear it with all my winter clothes too as I just love the look it gives!

I've also had my haircut since my last outfit post though you can't overly tell! Its just nice to be able to see where I'm going again! I've also not dyed my hair since before starting uni so at the moment I don't really know what colour it is but I am planning on bleaching the ends blonde very soon!

So no its officially Christmas has anyone got there decorations up already?
