All I know is we said "Hello".
I have a love/hate relationship with Taylor Swift... I can dance around to a number of her songs (and even sing them word for word) but theirs something about her that really annoys me too... Probably that she's got around a large number of attractive men who I'd quite fancy my chances with!
anyway this video hardly has her in hence why I probably like it so much! I daren't confess to you HOW many times I've actually watched this (well into double figures) but what I will say is I may of had a little cry, because I'm over emotional and it basically shows to me to kids discovering friendship and maybe more? Just so you know for future reference the adorable ginger boy is how my children, If I have any will be like. I'm sure you all know I kind of think Ed Sheeran's alright.... and you can certainly tell he was heavily involved with the song and I'm partly guessing the video too, as he generally only has himself in a video as a minor part not the main focus which for all of Taylor's other videos she is. In my opinion it's beautifully done even if I didn't like both artists I'd probably still adore the video and song.
May I finally point out the end shot with the little ginger kid and Ed actually kills me. Genuinely hope I'm not the only one...
P.S I think I purely watch it for eds arms and face at the end as well.....
We're just the same, we all get desperate sometimes, feeling black and blue.
This is Paloma Faith's 3rd(?) single of her second album and I genuinely love the whole thing! Obviously I've blogged a number of times about this girl because I do have a massive crush on her, in fact if you feel the need to us together (yes that happened) you can see it here. I'm also obsessed with Paloma's tattoos on her back which in my eyes are artwork. But anyway I could just talk for hours about her face, let's be honest!
I've had to watch this video twice to realise that Paloma is most of the characters ( I still can't decide if she's actually the bloke or not...) It's just so beautiful and simply which for someone who is as mental as Paloma is something fresh. Another thing I love about her is that she always sings from the heart and each of her own songs will have a genuine story behind it and I think it's really important to have a connection to a song or the lyrics if you want to sing it to it's full potential.
This is just a short post to show you a video I'm loving and it feels I haven't done a music post for awhile. I actually had to restrain myself from posting the photo's from when I saw Justin Bieber... I kind of still want to though. Tomorrow I'm going back to my old College to do a talk all about blogging, exciting and a little scary! I'll let you all know how I get on!
Give Me Love.
I know you all know I'm a massive Ed Sheeran fan so it feels like a tradition to post every new singles video up on here where I'll babble about how beautiful it is and he is etcetera. But I only say these things because I mean it. This is the final single off his + album and of course it is utterly lovely, it's his lyrics I think that really get to me more than anything. I'm also glad to see that Ed isn't the main person in the video like he rarely is, I think it just makes me feel more about the song than his cute little face, though I'm happy to see that as much as humanly possible.
Now while watching this for the first time (I've now watched it 7 times in a row) it made me wonder about something which is where this tweet came from "@Rosieroundface can artists who have girls in there music videos have chunkier ladies please it'd be much appreciated. #cheers" WHY DO ALL THE GIRLS HAVE TO BE SO BONEY and ill looking I mean I know she's supposed to be a tortured soul and disturbed but could she not be a chubby one bigger girls are just like that to. I'm sure SOME people would say it's not what everyone else is like or whatever but isn't the national dress size average a size 14/16 now? It would be nice to see someone who was amazing and beautiful and that size! Okay rant over now, but it really does annoy me I mean loads of young girls see these video's and think that the only way boys or well anyone will like them is if they look like this. I'm sure not all girls think like this but at the age of 12 I know I definitely did!
Right I think my rant is actually over now! anyway of course this video is beautifully captured and filmed without looking like its filmed on a beach in L.A ( I hate to love those kind of video's) and there is some lovely tea stirring from Ed so of course I'm happy! Also a really meaningful and just perfect song, also know it's one of Steph from Buttons, Bows and Brogues fave tunes to! So what do you think of this and my rant? Let me know!
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
I feel like its become a bit of a tradition on my blog that whenever Ed Sheeran has a new video out I tend to post it up and discuss how beautiful he is and well I'm definitely not one for breaking such traditions! I know there is a very strong meaning behind this whole song like with most of Ed's because he can't just write about anything he always puts his emotions into a song, which is probably why there so lovely. I think we all know I'm a massive fan girl over him so most people would think even if he was shocking I'd love it but in all honesty I feel the video is missing something, I still love it but it's not my all time favorite.
Though I will say some parts are done beautifully such as the shots of his face (mainly because its his face..) and fading people in and out of shot is a clever interpretation of time shifting. I don't have masses to say about this video as it is simple and there is not a thousand things going on at once in it but sometimes it' best not to over fuss anything and just to see and hear how it is? I hope that made sense anyway! I feel like this was all done in virtually one shot and that's another reason why I love Ed she doesn't make a big deal out of things.
And to finish on one final note just look at the boy!
