Out with the old in with the new?

Of course these photographs are not of my own room they're just what I'd love it to resemble (Hello Carries UHMAZING walk in wardrobe) unfortunately for me my room is still a teenagers with lots of unloved clothing and pointless knick knacks. I can try to be organised but it always fails me after a few weeks I return to my hoarding cluttered self. I seem to find a reason to try and keep everything even though I have may not of worn of used the piece in years. This includes that poster of Zac Efron that took pride of place on your wall circa 2008 and that pair of jeans you've never worn because you need to do the zip up with a coat hanger while you lie down with a pile of books on your stomach to help you breath in.

As I become more grown up with my decisions (which sucks) I'm being able to let more things go. This means one thing only, time to start giving away to charity or sell my wares on a site like Ebay or even a blogsale. I like to do a mixture of all of the above as it means some extra funds for me and of course helping replenish our charity shops with good quality pieces! I like to find similar pieces for sale if I have the time to see what other people are willing to pay when popping them up online and when I'm sending bin bags full to the charity shop I always make sure my clothes are clean and in good condition as I hate it when people just think they can send broken and damaged pieces to them!

When it comes to sending any pieces I've sold I could just pop them in the post but nowadays I prefer to use sites like ParcelForce as you have more control over how pieces will turn up to the buyer! The amount of times I've had damaged items in the post goes into double figures so when I'm passing on my wares I much prefer the fact I know they'll turn up undamaged and in the condition they left me this way! So now I'm well on my way to de-cluttering my life maybe, JUST MAYBE my room may end up looking like the first image? Though lets just be realistic my wardrobe will NEVER be like Carrie Bradshaw's!

Another Year Over and We're Still Together.

I thought I'd do a little post about everything this year, now unfortunately for me health wise it's been one of my worst years ever but for many other things it's been really amazing! In the selection of photo's above are just a few of the cool things I've done this year along with 4 outfits I quite liked! Of course I had to include Ed Sheeran in it as I did manage to see him live twice this year and successfully (in a only slightly stalkerish way) meet him once! I also got a tattoo, now if you have me on Twitter you'll know about it but I didn't actually do a blog post about getting it done, I was going to but it just never happened, that and it's a totally bitch to try and get a decent picture of! It's a small plus sign behind my year, I've also gone through a lot in the last year with everything and I needed something to remind me to stay being positive because if I get int a down period I fnd it incredibly hard to shake myself out of it, so that's why its there. 2012 was also the year for meeting so many new people especially bloggers, I've made some amazing new friends in the past year who I would now count as being some of the closest friends I have ( talking about you here dani!) 

I couldn't say if my style has changed drastically this year but its definitely evolved in many ways. I'd love to know if looking back at my style in 2011 what you think has changed from that in 2012 (other than me finally wearing the right sized bra, best thing I ever did was to get fitted!)  And finally I've decided that 2013 is for sure going to be my year, where I achieve things I've always wanted to how ever big or small and do what I want and what is right for me not what I think people would want me to do! I hope everyone else's 2013 will be epic as well!

Keep Calm and Play Louder.

I don't want to write pages and pages about this (though I could very easily!) On Saturday night went to the 02 Apollo in Manchester to see my all time favourite band, McFly I haven't missed a tour since I was 13 and I've loved them since I was ten, which was when they first started almost 9 years which is crazy!

For all the tour dates but one I've been with my friend Mary (who is the main person in the bottom picture with me, please ignore Elly jumping in, haha!) Last tour we ended up on second row then somehow jumped to right in front of Tom Fletcher, which was amazing. This time round the 4 of us ( Elly, Mary, me and Mary's friend from uni Eilidh) we somehow ended up behind friends and family meaning we were surround by the boys really fit girlfriends (how depressing) and Antony Cotton which was brilliant though I fear I deafened him by the end!

further down the row in front of Mary was James Michael who was on XFactor... we first bumped into him as soon as we walked in and I grabbed him because it was Mary's 19th and she wanted a pictures (more like I did) next think we know hes grabbing us and mushing his face into my cheek for a picture and going on about how cool it is to come to McFly on your birthday! Then the best thing happened he sang Happy Birthday to Mary and it wasn't the best I've ever heard him we were all in fits of laughter!

Now I'm going to finish with I heard 3 of McFlys new songs and they are AMAZING I'd forgotten how much I loved them and how insane they are live! Even if your not a massive fan of them you will like these songs, Fangirl for life.

Ombre.

Step 1, step 2, step 3....Finished outcome!!!

Yes guys I finally did it! I ombre'd my hair, I know I've been going on about doing it since the summer and even bought the bleach then but kept on chickening out when it came to actually putting the bleach on my hair, I was terrified I'd ruin it and end up ruining my hair, but I eventually bit the bullet and this is how it turned out, not bad for my first ever attempt!

I posted up the pictures of my process on my twitter while I was doing, mostly just for you all to giggle at! My methods are probably not right especially as I'd lost the actual instructions but regardless this worked for me. I also made a 4 part video set on doing my ombre hair there a little shoddy and a mess but no ones perfect right? I'll get them up on my YouTube as soon as and post the links on here to accompany the post! I think one thing to remember is that you shouldn't be scared of trying this yourself as I'm perfectly happy with this and the bleach cost me under 4 quid and I dread to think how much it would cost me to get it done at the hairdressers!

Tonight I'm heading off to see Mcfly and yes I am very excited! It's also one of my dearest friends birthdays who I'm going with which means only one thing loads of banners and me telling everyone its her birthday! I won't be wearing anything of height fashiony credentials but I might do a cheeky little post on it all anyway for a laugh!

country florals.

Here is a very very quick outfit post, this is just what I'm wearing while sitting in the house doing my college work. While I'm just watching it have any of you been catching bits on Chris Moyles on the red button? Him and comedy Dave are brave men for trying to stay up so long and they don't even look that rough! And I have just sent my text and donated ( though primarily because I want Greg James to get his kit off...) I wish I'd got my hands on a red nose day t-shirt but they just seem to be sold out everywhere now so I'll just wear some red on Friday in support.

So on to what I'm wearing today. There is a fair few pieces in this outfit which are from Dorothy Perkins I just seem to always find pieces in there which I like ad fit well, but the other reason is also because there is a Dorothy Perkins in my town so I just seem to shop there more often than not. The cardigan is from there and has a really cute bit of detail on the top of the sleeve as does the tunic which has a lovely plaited detail on the shoulders (which I forgot to photograph, oops!) I adore the print on the top as well as the almost tea coloured lace on the chest. It reminds me of vintage fabric or old curtains and tea party's, yes I realise that all really rather twee and in case I didn't specify the tunic is also from Dorothy Perkins. On my legs I just have one of my many pairs of Matalan leggings on there really great and a lot cheaper than others I've had in the past.

The necklace I'm wearing I found in one of my favourite charity shops and its a really sweet painting of the man and a woman in sort of Edwardian attire. My ring I got from the Dorothy Perkins sale and the nail varnish I'm wearing id Barry M I've tried to give up biting my nails for lent and I'm struggling already! I don't think I've done an outfit post without wearing make in quite some time so here you go and I'm sorry I look so tired! Oh and I had my hair cut a couple of weeks ago but it probably looks all grown out again already.

Is anyone else looking forward to the weekend as much as I am? I'm off to see Mcfly with one of my best friends Mary (whose 18th meal I went to last week) and were second row! were so excited it's like were 13 again!

Everyday feels like a monday,there is no escaping from the heartache.

"Waking up to people talking and it's getting later every morning, now I realise it's nearly midday and I've wasted half my life to throw it away, singing everyday should be a new day to make you smile and find a new way of falling in love, I could've fallen in love."

I apologise for it being a whole week since i last posted but I've just not been sure on what to write really, but anyway I'm back and bigger than ever! I went and stayed with my brother and his girlfriend in Liverpool so i could go to the John Moore's open day fr my fashion course but when i arrived I'd found out that they had in fact cancelled the fashion course for 2011 so really there was so point in me going but i got to wander around Liverpool look in some shops and buy a fair few brooches from primark!

I finally got to have a look (in person, at what was left) of the Beth Ditto range in the Liverpool Evans store. They had one polka dot dress left in my size and i have to say i utterly fell in love with it but with the steep price tag of £59.50 i would never dream of being able to afford it on my own but it was so comfortable and just fitted so well, arghh i really should stop writing about it I mean it took me long enough to talk myself out of it haha! The second image of myself is just what i wore for my open day that didn't happen. The skirt was bought for 3 pounds in the Dorothy Perkins sale and its pretty much not left my waist since i got it. The shirt i thrifted for £2.99 from a charity shop in my town. And then the finishing touch to what i wore was my coat which i acquired last January in the Dorothy Perkins sale and i just love duffle coats and this one has a slight a-line shape which fits really well.

i saw the moustache stencil on a wall in Liverpool and i just love it, pretty tempted to have it tattooed on my person somewhere but maybe i should just stick to my bird instead? anyway i just thought it was really cool so i photographed it. Also i know the mcfly lyrics aren't really linked to the whole trip to Liverpool but i saw them on Saturday night in Manchester and I've just had them in my head ever since. Oh and they were insanely amazing (but another post on that later!) so has anyone been thrifty this weekend? And any plans for the coming week it's half term for me and I'm hoping to visit some galleries.
