I'm back and with another beautiful dress and cardigan set from Voodoo Vixen, honestly I don't think they've ever gotten it wrong! Every single piece I've had from them I've utterly loved and this one is no exception! You may have noticed that recently I've been bringing my vintage loving side out more and more, which I hope you're enjoying seeing it as much as I'm enjoying exploring my personal style further but don't worry the leggings and swing dresses are still firmly in my wardrobe and worn on rotation! 

These are the Betsy Dress and Ginny Cardigan I'm wearing both in a 2XL and for reference I generally wear a UK dress Size 20. These both fit me really well and if you had a bigger bust than me this dress should be great as there is plenty of room for a bust much more ample than my own! What I love the most about these is the print/embroidery and attention to detail Voodoo Vixen always put into their garments. The quality is also extremely good none of the cardigans I own from them have lost their shape or have the dread baggy sleeve after rolling them up during the day. I also don't think I need a petticoat under this dress but you could add one for extra omph if you really wanted to as there is room under the skirt. If you're looking for something Vintage inspired in Plus Size that's extra special I'd definitely send you to Voodoo Vixen! 

I decided to style these pieces with my new hair flower which is the Rosalita Double Rose from Pin Up Curl. I've also picked this one up in a different colour way from her last week as I just love how it sits so well, you definitely need to check out her Etsy for all her hair flowers and her Facebook page to see the stunning hairstyles she also creates! My lips are in a Lime Crime Velvetine in Utopia (it's a fake but I love the colour anyway!)

Poppy Lovely with Voodoo Vixen.

I'm so happy I've finally had chance to take some photographs of this stunning dress that was sent to me by the babes at Voodoo Vixen. The weather among other things in life put getting these snaps on hold until recently! Sometimes I do wish I had somewhere other than our garden to take my blog photos unfortunately it's just that and a tripod for me! 

Anyway onto the dress I absolutely adore this dress from the cut to the beautiful scalloped edging on the sleeves and neckline, it's such a darling dress. As normally it's a little too long for my short body but that is something I can easily amend myself and it isn't a fault with the dress just that all the women in my family are vertically challenged! Other than that the dress fits me really well and has a slight stretch in the fabric which very Voodoo Vixen dress I've tried has, making it hug the figure really well. The cardigan I also love and finishes the look really well but also looks so cute on it's own with a pair of jeans rolled up with my converse and a hair scarf! I kept my accessories simple with flat flats and and old classic necklace I've had for a few years from Topshop. I'm also attempted to grow out my fringe but it's in that really annoying stage where I want to cut it again so please bare with me while it looks a mess for the next few weeks!

Dahlia Walk - Biddulph Grange Gardens.

A week or so ago my parents dragged me out of the house on a dreary Sunday afternoon to one of the more local National Trust places not far from where I live and normally I'd be getting my folks to snap an outfit shot or two of me while we're wandering around the array of themed gardens I just wasn't in the mood alas I'd had some sad news only a day before and I just wasn't in the frame of mind. However when we got to the Dahlia Walk I couldn't resist capturing a number of the flowers, the colours and shapes genuinely brightened me up a little and gave me some inspiration for creating skirts like the petals etc.

These were the last bloom for the flowers before Autmn and Winter truly decended and as you can see they're a little past their prime but still powering through as best they could. I do realise how deep and quite frankly emo that sounded, I feel like I've gone back in time to when I was 14 and oh so misunderstood! Anyway I'm hoping to get some more posts up shortly as I know I've been far to quiet in the last few months!

Biddulph Grange Gardens.

I've decided that I'm going to start posting a few more lifestyle kind of things up on A Rose Like This and this is one the first of what I hope is many. A few sunny weekends ago two of my dearest friends and myself decided to pop along to Biddulph Grange Gardens which isn't to far from my hometown, of course I took my camera with me well I'm never one to miss a photo opportunity! The house is mostly private flats or offices (I WILL LIVE THERE ONE DAY, as you get entry to the gardens as your own!) but it's the gardens you go for. I've been visiting all my life as we've always been members of the National Trust, we try to go every season as you can see all the changes and it's truly beautiful.

Biddulph Grange also has some themed gardens, one of the most well known being the Chinese Garden which includes a great wall of China! Quite a few features of it have been closed in recent years but they've all been reopened now and it's even more exciting than ever. Hence why me and the girls took the majority of our snaps there! I really love all the photographs from this trip as we spent it laughing away and I think you can really see this in the pictures. Personal favourite being me posing on the bridge with my friend Becca sneaking up behind me!

Flowers, Ladybirds and Butterflies.

Iphone 4s case: c/o Iconemesis.

This is another treat I was sent but have only just managed to retrieve to get some photographs for the blog. (I do realise I need to organise my life more, it was on my to do list for 2014 but it looks like I've lost that as well!) The lovely guys at Iconemesis asked if I'd like to choose something from there vest and utterly fabulous collection to accessorise my phone with. Now I've only had my iPhone for a little over a year and the fact I can get pretty cases to adorn it is still very much a novelty to me, so of course I was stupidly excited to take a look and this one caught my eye straight away! Such an unusual pattern and style I knew this would be the perfect edition to my phones ever growing wardrobe. It's still available on the site here (and it's on sale, what more could you ask for?!)

These below are also three more that would be more than welcome among my phone case collection, they're way cooler than my cringy One Direction number and who doesn't love coffee, flowers and cats? All are available on the site now.

Flower Arranging.

What now seems like forever ago I got a lovely DIY Flower Box from The Great British Florist and thought it would be the perfect thing to give to my mum for her flower arranging which I also help her with.
We got a glorious box full of flowers within a day of ordering and decided to make something up for the alter at church, my mums on the router so she does a month at a time. Due to how insanely warm it's been over the last few weeks they weren't overly perky when we managed to open the box mostly due to them being left in the box half the day as I was at work.

All we added to the DIY set was some greenery and a few other flowers to add some more depth to the colours.The pictures were taken just after we'd finished it and some of the Lillie's were unfortunately still closed but after a vigorous spraying with water and being left over night they were fully open in all there glory for the church service the next morning!

I think packs such as these are perfect for the budding florist in you but if your not so kindly green fingered they could throw you slightly as how to put them together! Though this is something I'll definitely think about getting my mum one of these again as it certainly adds much more choice to the flower options she normally has for our church arrangements! And of course the obglitatory awkward photo of a slightly sweaty me with the flowers, they almost match my dress thank you Asos Curve!

Flower Power.

These were taken when it was still properly summer, as its now September and its quickly becoming time to pack up my life again and return to uni for my second year (which I'm totally not ready for and don't want to happen) it feels like I've not had summer at all especially as I've spent the whole of my summer on an array of medication or miserable, I feel a little robbed.

But anyway one a lighter note I got this lovely dress from Simply Be as a thank you for modelling it while at Plus North as I said in that post whatever you modelled you got to keep, which was amazing. This is just showing how I wore it myself as its to big for me so I used my denim vest to pull me in slightly, I've literally not had this off my back since I bought it at the start of August.

Evans have also been really good to me lately and sent me quite a few pairs of shoes to try out from there new season collection and I have to say pretty much love them all! This pair came at the perfect time after my black flats (also from Evans) had to go to the big shoe box in the sky so these new slipper style have become my go to. Tomorrow I'm travelling to Leicester to start moving into my new house which means in the next few weeks you'll be getting a new tour of my house I'll even make it like cribs, might even get my housemates to join in and make a video! I'm excited about making a new room my own and adding all my trinkets and cushions I've collection but starting uni again is another thing entirely.

Inspired.

With a name like Rosemary its kind of obvious that I love flowers (yes I know Rosemary is a herb but I also get called Rose) and these are just photographs I came across while wasting my life away on tumblr, which is my favourite past time! I'm on the hunt for a beautiful floral crown with massive flowers on to wear even though I know the summers basically over I want one in wintry tones so I could wear it then too!

The bath photo at the top shouldn't be as lovely as it is to me, I don't know why I like it so much I just do. I don't really have a favourite flower as such I love a large selection all bunched together but I do have a soft spot for roses and daisies. Anyway these were just thinks inspiring me try and do something at the moment. If you follow me on twitter you would of seen how down I've been and I'm not any better yet either.
