Stripes and Circle Skirts.

Top: Asos Curve. Skirt: made by me. Necklace: Topshop. Shoes: Evans.

The lovely Isha from An Autmns Grace snapped these for me very quickly after an event what seems like forever ago! And surprisingly I kind of love them, usually I'm pretty critical with the shots that make it on here but we were having such a giggle and I think that really shows! I know I've been a little quiet on the outfit posts front over the last month or so but I'm hoping that will soon change! I've decided even if it's just a quick phone selfie of an outfit if I love it I'll post it up on here for you all to see!

This was worn for an event in London and on the train for hours (the first of which will be featured on the blog very soon!) I love this skirt and it still makes me extremely happy that if I can't find exactly what I'm after in the shops now I can just whip something up for myself! I wore a cheap petticoat from eBay under the skirt just to give it even more volume! Since these were taken I've had my hair cut to a shoulder length bob style as I'd gotten to the stage where I just needed it cutting drastically to breath some life back into my hair! The top is rather old from Asos Curve but something I surprisingly get a lot of wear from. However I did have to order it in a size above my usual so the arms are a little loose!

Don't ask me what's going on in the middle image, there was a worse one but my expression was even worse!

Anna Scholz for Simply Be Event!

Me and Lauren Pocket Rocket in the most amazing bomber jackets (now on my wish list!)

Keeping it classy as always, as you can see!

Anna Scholz her team and Some of the Simply Be girls!

Me and my new best friend Anna's dog Frida. She was utterly adorable. (Photo from Apple Charlotte)

Back in Mid February on the single day it didn't rain while I was in London for a few days I attended the fabulous event at Anna Scholz HQ to see the latest pieces, play dress up and of course hang around with some of my favourite girls! I'm sure you've read about it this on lots of blogs by now but I'm being fashionably late(?) to the party with only just getting chance to write it up now. As always the Simply Be team were an utterly pleasure to be around as was Anna Scholz herself and the rest of her team. Particularly her pup Frida who I'm just a little bit smitten with!

The clothes are to die for and I surprisingly fell in love with a amxi dress something I'd probably never normally go near but the colour, pattern and trimmings are what pulled at my heart strings and it's certainly something I'm going to have to try on as soon as I can. I've also began a love affair with the bomber jacket of dreams, which is purely an Anna Scholz piece I believe and not one in conjunction with Simply Be? It felt amazing on, fitted perfectly (I tried a sample 18 not thinking I'd get it zipped up but it was utterly divine) and the embroidery OH THE EMBROIDERY! At this point I'm sure it's pretty clear that I'm a fashion design student as it was so colour and perfect and just needs to be mine really!

And lastly it's the lingerie that did it for me! If they'd had my size on the rail I may have had to have slipped into something more comfortably and given it a whirl, the vibrant and decadent colours are just stunning in person and the fabrics feel lovely to the touch and as I'm sure you'll know some underwear is wonderful to look at until you see what type of fabric it is.You can take a look at all the fabulous lingerie, Anna Scholz for Simply Be has to offer by clicked on this link.

Massive thank you to Simply Be and Anna Scholz for doing this event and to all the blogger ladies I hung out with while I was there and to the girls who got me on the correct transport back to my Hotel!

A lovely tea party with Fashion World and Claire Richards.

Nancy, myself and the lovely Katie and Hollie

While I was in London almost two weeks ago (HOW depressing is it that it's that long ago now?!) I got the chance to attend some wonderful events and this was my second one. I met up with the utterly fabulous Nancy of Sugar, Darling? and we made our way over to the utterly lovely Haymarket Hotel, which took us longer to find than it should have, I blame google maps! Once we entered through the door we were offered cocktails in a teacup but as I don't drink anymore I really went out and had a glass of water. Next up we ventured into the kitchen and had the option of getting our nails done, naturally any excuse for a bit of a pamper I had mine done the most lovely lilac colour by Essie.

After this we popped on upstairs, yes upstairs is what I said I'll just mention this now that they had it set out like an adorable little home with floral accents and sweet treats galore (basically my dream home) to find a good spot ready for Claire to talk her latest collection with Hilary Alexander, naturally the fashion student in me was very excited about this and I'm happy to report that both ladies were an absolute delight and Claire is honestly in my top five of nice celebrities I've met.

It was fantastic to hear Claire discuss the collection and she is genuinely very involved as I know some celebrities will just front something but Claire goes to very meeting, fit sessions and has a hand in what designs she wants to go for. A number of pieces were inspired by some of her vintage collection and don't worry there isn't a hipster jean from her Steps days in sight! All the pieces look wonderful and you can see the detail and thought process that has gone into each piece, I'd find it impossible to choose a favourite item but I would love to try out the high waisted jeans as I find it impossible to find jeans that look even remotely nice on me! Once the official talk was other Claire popped around talking to everyone but then ended up chatting to us bloggers for about half an hour! It is clear to see that Claire has really thought about how much of a key part comfort is when it comes to plus size clothes but she hasn't compromised on style. Basically she's an utter babe and I now love her a little bit.

The pieces are available in sizes 12 to 32 and you can see and buy Claire's Collection for Fashion World here!

Cut For Evans.

A lovely photo from the lovely Lauren at Pocket Rocket Fashion.
The ladies being Caroline, Deb, Isha, Hanna, Charlotte, Rivkie.

Last week I was lucky enough to be in London for a few days and be invited to a number of rather fabulous events the first being the launch of Cut for Evans in association with Now Magazine. I met Rivkie the fabulous editor of Slink Magazine just before the event so thankfully I didn't have to arrive alone, I did however go and hide in Next to try and make myself remotely presentable after being drowned in the rain luckily Evans had hair, make up and lovely nail painting happening so thankfully I got my hair spruced up!

Evans have ran a competition with fashion students from a number of universities who are famed for there knitwear and print specialities to design a capsule collection they chose one winner for each catagory these being the lovely Alice Farrow for print and Rebecca Partington for knitwear. I adore the outcome as a fashion design student things like this really get me excited for creating my own plus size garments and playing with print and colour is something that lets be honest is quite rare when it comes to plus size fashion. A number of girls were wearing items from the collection throughout the store and they all looked amazing!I'm totally regretting not picking up any while I was at the launch!

All the pieces are of course very visual and not for the faint hearted but from what I've seen of all the ladies wearing the pieces everyone seems to look amazing in the garments! It was also so lovely to see so many of my blogger friends under one roof, which doesn't happen very often for me anymore as I can't visit London quite as often as I used to. It was also utterly fabulous meeting some ladies I've spoken to online for the first time in person, even though we all follow each other on twitter so you basically feel like to know everything about each other anyway! I can't wait to see what else Evans have up there sleeves for the rest of 2014 and I hope they keep coining for talent such as this to show that plus size fashion can more often than not be VERY exciting!

A selection from Fearne Cotton, Holly Willoughby and Jameela Jamil's Ranges for Very!

New Love Label Pieces.

A selection of current Lovel Label pieces and range favourites.

The whole team who we spent the afternoon/evening with!

The lovely Designer and Buyer for Love Label.

Jameela Jamil crop top I need in my wardrobe!

Me Em from Em Talks and Claire from The Fashion Freak.(picture borrowed from Claire!)

So a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to pop to London for a mere 4 hours (How depressing I'm never there long enough!) for a lovely little event by Love Label for Very. We also got to look at a few pieces from other collections including one of my major girl crushes Jameela Jamil, I utterly adore the majority of her pieces but I was never sure if I'd get my chunky little body into them but seeing the adorable cropped shirt I may have to try! All us blogger were also lucky enough to choose an item from the new spring collection to keep and style up in our own ways. Now considering I technically only just fitted into Love Label (more on this in a minute) I chose something stretchy and a little out there from something I'd normally choose! I decided on the checkered body con midi dress which in person is quite generous so it doesn't really cling to my lumps and bumps at all. I can't wait to show you how it looks on a girl like me!

Now the real reason we were all there was to talk to the buyer and designer for Love Label, now let me start with how friendly these girls were, now I've been lucky to meet the odd designer and buyer in the past (specially with choosing to study these fields at college and uni) but these two were some of the most friendly I've met! they told us how they always have there eye on the catwalks and fashion weeks around the globe but the Love Label girl  likes to focus on street style, taking a lot of inspiration from the people she see's on the street! Oh course we also heard about the amazing trips they go on around the world whether it's a fabric or inspiration mission or to speak to a new manufacturer they jet from places like the far east and the USA, of course does sound exciting but they also reminded us it's all so a lot of hard work and long hours! Another thing I liked to hear was that a number of the Love Label pieces were produced in the UK and that Very actually use a factory not far from my uni house in Leicester which is always cool to know!

It was time for us to ask the questions, and I brought up a question about the size range as they've recently stopped making Love Label up to a size 20 which I was obviously gutted about. From what I recall they mentioned something like it was taken out because So Fabulous is the new place for the younger more plus size market to go, which of course is great but also a shame for all of us who loved wearing Love Label! I really enjoyed the day even though at first I was a little curious as to why I'd been originally invited as I'm an 18 in bottoms and a 20 on top, I find the clothes quite generous so it wasn't a problem.

It was also lovely to meet some bloggers I'd otherwise probably never get the chance to, I spent most of my time with Claire and Em. I was worried about being the only plus size blogger of sorts there but I needn't of worried as these girls made me feel perfectly comfortable and they are so, so lovely! The team from Very and Love Label were also complete stars and so friendly, so thank you. As Very is actually based in Liverpool, it was nice to speak to some people that don't live to far from me either!

In case you're wondered what I wore, it's a playsuit from Asos Curve worn as a top! Skirt from Topshop and shoes sent to me from Clark's.

Wendy again, Becky of Mrs BeBe, Slink Magazine and a new babe to us Danielle!

I am so late posting about this as it was over two weeks ago now! But the lovely people at Evans were nice enough to invite me down to Arcadia Head Office for an afternoon of having sneak peaks at new collections and collaborations (Just so you know some pieces are AMAZING, I can't wait to wear them) we were also lucky enough to get to play dress up in some of the new clothing going into store's and online soon!

The dress I'm wearing is by Scarlett & Jo  and this range is available from February 5th. I actually got into a size 16 with this but it was definitely tight! I adore the length of the sleeves as it means you won't have to find a cardigan to cover your arms if that's what you prefer. Also the lace inserts are just another really pretty detail. I realise I probably look pretty awkward can I blame the shoes? They were MASSIVE Caroline of Curvy Wordy actually had to put me in them and help me up, lets just say I'm a flatform/wedge girl at heart!

I got to spend the day with some of my fave bloggers who are truly close friends to me now! So of course it was a total blast, the other collections/collaborations we saw were the beautiful Alex Monoe "Alouette, Live Unlimited  out 25th March and finally Collection which is out 14th April. So finally another thank you to a lovely evening Evans!

London Calling... The Next Day

Playsuit: Asos Curve. Blazer: Vintage - Charity Shop. Scarf: Vintage - handed down. Boots: Simply Be.

The second post of my little over night trip to London. This is as much as I can show you from the shoot as everything else is shush shush for now, I'm sorry! I really love this playsuit I would say its quite a generous fit though but I don't mind that really, I wanted to look nice but also be comfortable and feel good in what I was wearing as I knew I was going to possibly get filmed in it (which I did) the only not so comfortable thing is the fact you basically have to get almost naked to pee. The blazer I was lucky to find in a charity shop for a fiver a few years ago and it's my go to for all occasions to be honest it's rarely off my back! The scarf is vintage and I have a feeling my mum gave it to me as far as I'm aware I've always had it and in the last few years its been worn to death! Boot's are Simply Be and were a bargain with a discount code, I drag them out all year round really tiny heel that I'm comfortable with!

My make up was to die for, it's all about the eyes. Now I have been known to dabble in eyeliner before from fifties cat eye flicks to full blown emo style but in recent years it's something I've almost become bad at it. I used to be a big fan of thick winged eyeliner but now I'm much more into the thinner more delicate lines, which I can't do at all but after seeing how lovely this looked I'm totally inspired to play up my eyes more. I told the make up artist (Mitzi, who was utterly lovely and a babe) that I tend to wear red lipstick a lot so she put this really lovely colour on my lips which is different to the pillar box red I tend to go for but in the best way I totally love the shade she put on and feel it works so that I don't feel so self conscious for everyday!

So of course I had an insanely ace night and day. It was an experience I will never forget and hope I could do more of in the future but for now I still can't tell you what it was for! I think I can come February so I'll just have to try and zip my lips on here until then!

London Calling... The Hotel Room

Not the most inspiring title to this post but I haven't had chance to transfer my other pictures from this little  trip to London, so for now you can just check out what my room was like for the night unfortunately Harry Styles was busy so I had to stay in it alone...

Actually my lovely friend (who may be featured on the blog in the not so distant future) was nice enough to walk me to my hotel and just hang out for a bit which is always nice when you haven't seen each other properly since the summer. My room was really nice and the bathroom was surprising big but this is coming from the girl who had the tiniest bathroom in halls last year! I will say IT HAD A BATH I was naturally very excited until I realised the miniatures in the room were just bars of soap (which I obviously brought "some" home as presents to my family, because I'm nice like that). My hotel was the Travistock Hotel which is next to The Royal National it's only a stones throw from Euston Station. Only downside was how cold it seemed to get once I was curled up in bed, I was probably ill prepared Pj wise! Over all this is just a snap shot of what I took with me.. over packed but didn't if that makes any sense? Took my laptop but rarely used it like I generally do always when I go anywhere. But at least I took an umbrella, yes London you were very rainy come Friday morning!

My next post will be what I wore for the Friday (I arrived Thursday night in case I didn't mention it earlier) and the make up I had some... which I was obsessed with, I felt like you could really notice my eyes and normally they often disapear into my face!
