If you go down to the woods today.

These are just a few snaps my brother took of my outfit while we were out walking our neighbours dog, we nearly always walk him on the wood paths which surround my town park. The lighting is always really beautiful through the trees this time of year as well, so its always a pleasant walk.It was really warm but with a cool breeze so I could easily deal with it. If any of you read my blog this time last year you may recall a post on how I generally hate summer but its okay I'm kind of learning to like it more.

So onto my outfit this tunic dress I'm almost certain you've seen a number of times its my go-to piece which I always feel good in, unfortunately it's going a little bit bobbly because of the amount of times I wash it, so hopefully next time I go into Matalan I'll be able to snap another up! The leggings are also from Matalan and do have lasted a little longer than my beloved black ones but this is probably because I wear my black ones basically every day and these just every now and then, there good quality for the low price of £8 but do tend to fall down a little basically like all denim leggings I've ever owned.

Now considering it was pretty warm I had my hair tied up, which doesn't always suit me but it just makes life a lot easier, recently I've bought a hair donut and have taken to wearing it in a Adele styled bun or ballerina version, I'm actually thinking of doing a post inspired by Adele's look and style let me know if you'd be interested in seeing that. My jewellery is very simple and I'm just wearing a rose ring which was from Ribbon and Asher at Dorothy Perkins, I just love it because it is a rose and fits my name. My shoes are from peacocks and are surprisingly wide actually I need to buy another pair before they stop selling them and I've completely ruined mine.

And lastly here is a very silly picture of me and my brother who for a few of my recent outfit posts has been photographer. He's just finished his last year at uni so he's home at the moment. And no our glasses aren't the same, though he likes to think I copied him....which I didn't! One this note of glasses I've actually had to get a new pair and I've chosen some from Gok Wans range at specsavers and I can't wait to start wearing them!

Bluebells.

Before I start I do realise this is quite a picture heavy post but I just wanted to share them with you all because this was the first day I've actually remotely enjoyed the weather! I don't want to babble on here too much today, because if the truth be told I've been finding it hard to write recently and I don't know why. It's actually really bugging me, I can seem to write mindless crap over tumblr and twitter but when I want to express what I'm trying to say with my pictures my finger cease to work at typing! So I do apologise I've been meaning to get this post out for days!

These photographs were taken in the woods near my house, which lead you to the main park in Congleton which is actually very pretty. Its my favourite time of year to walk through the woods when all the bluebells are out and the sun is just streaking through the caps in the branches, everything just seems to look more beautiful with a little sun shining on it.

Anyway on to what I wore in the hot weather (yes I know to some people wouldn't class it as hot, but for me it was scorching) so I put on a pair of shorts...yes you heard me shorts?! Now for a long time for me wearing shorts was a serious no, because fat girls aren't supposed to show above the knee are they? Well you know what I honestly don't think I care anymore, its summer weather, its hot and I do not want milk bottle legs forever! There shorts are from Dorothy Perkins and I got them in the sale for about 7 pounds, I tend to wear them with tights but as you can see now I'm being brave. The top I'm wearing is from Urban Outfitters and I got it last summer for about £15 and its so comfy, I know Urban Outfitters don't technically do "plus size" but a number of there items are over sized for a slouchy fit and fit me pretty well.

My accessories are kept to a bare minimum because when its really warm I can't stand a lot of fussy jewellery around me. The shoes are my favourite pair from Evans and are literally falling apart at the seams, please if anyone is willing to send me a new pair I'll happily take them off your hands! My sunglasses are RayBan style from Primark for a pound I probably own a tenners worth in Primark shades but I always seem to pick up a pair whenever I go in. I love this headpiece I got my inspiration from cupcakes clothes because Georgia was making her own from flowers so I thought I'd try, this was actually for a fancy dress party but I love wearing it so much already! In the next day or so I'm going to be posting up a few pictures from the party so you can see me dressed as a forest fairy.

So how do I look in shorts, dare I wear them out in public again? Also I promise to blog less randomly, I'm thinking of doing "my week in photo's" because then I'll have a constant update day, so I should stick to it better!

Woodland Creatures.

You may of already seen these two images on my blog before, they were taken in my granny's orchard. From my perspective after I had edited the tree image I felt there should be some manner of magical creatures either gathering around it to dance or going through a secret door in the trunk. Either way I think this proves I read to many fantasy and fairy books.
I think the mood in these images is enchanted because they are both quite dark but then the colours within the frame are bright and vivid against the dark night autumn sky backdrop.
In the future I plan to use where I shot these photographs as the view for my final garments at the end of my college year, as the area fits really well for the idea i have for my designs. Because I know the tree's and the orchard haven't change since the 1940's (that's a sneaky little clue).
I hope you all had lovely weekends mine has been a little mad to say the least. I will get back to some outfit posts in the next week and during the Christmas holidays I promise!

Pebble and Wood.

This image was taken while I was in Suffolk over the summer. What original drew me to photographing it was them multitude of colours in the pebbles as well as the structure of the salt water weathered wood slowly sinking into the unforgiving shores. And the effect I achieved on photoshop is also really good I think it looks almost futuristic and I would also like to develop this into a pattern for an item of clothing.
Would any of your fancy wearing the patterns my edited photograph's have created?
