I have lots of lovely posts to get up for you all this week, well I was supposed to last week but I've seem to have acquired some kind of bloggers block which is so annoying! So for now I thought I'd pop up these pictures Charl from A Ginger Girls Says took of me while we were in Sheffield for a lovely Panache Lingerie event (post up soon, it was amazeballs though!) As we were travelling on the train I wanted to wear something that wouldn't crease easily and more importantly I'd feel comfortable in. This is one of the much loved t-shirt dresses from Matalan though as they're midi length they are always way to long for me so I chopped off a bit and hemmed it to be more wearable for short, little old me! 

Red Lipstick is my confidence booster if I'm going to something I want to feel confident or strong I slick it on. Though it's fast becoming an addiction the amount of varying shades that all look similar in my make up bag is slightly insane but I just can't help it. I'm sure I could be addicted to much worse things! I know you've also seen this jacket a number of times now including the post below but I just adore it so much and I throw it over anything, just so versatile and perfect in so many ways! Okay I'll stop crushing over the jacket now!

Also Charl wanted me to post up the last picture because she thinks it's cute, I was actually dancing like a right idiot when she snapped this, as per usual. Finally I'm going to try and get on it more this week in regards to posting if I can but I know I'll be super busy and on Friday I'm travelling down/across/to Sandhurst for one of my oldest friends passing out balls as he's been there training I'm excited and super nervous but I'll make sure I get plenty of snaps of my evening dress for you!

Red Lips, Pale Face.

Not and overly exciting outfit but cute all the same. The dress is new from Matalan, I love it dearly if only it was a little shorter I'm thinking about buying a few and taking them up because I wear t-shirt dresses like this ALL THE TIME. Yes I am one of those people who buys copies of the same thing if I really love it. The belt is now becoming the favourite out of the ones I own which isn't many (I need more!) it adds a modern and rocky edge to any outfit, which I love. I just used it to tie the vintage elements and basic pieces together to make a lovely look you could wear out for drinks or just whenever you wanted to!

My now almost statement red lip made it instantly look more polished, it also worked beautifully with my amazing hair. I'll post the pictures up I took (badly) while the lovely lady Sarah did it, I want it to be a full post because I loved it so much! I wasn't sure this hairstyle was very "me" when I got home but it's growing on me the more I look at it.

You can also see a little of the clutter from my bedroom here at uni behind me, I'll be sad to see it go after Christmas, which is a long (and emotional on my part) story. I said months ago I'd do a little post about my room and I promise I will as soon as I can, read: as soon as I hide all the mess under my bed.

Antique Chair and Vintage Flare.

I took these photographs while i was on holiday and just completely forgot to post them up which is typical of me, i swear a goldfish has a better memory! Anyway these are a couple vintage scarves from my now becoming vast collection of them. On the chair you can just see the tip of a pale blue one and this is a tourist scarf which my grandmother got in the 1950's and i found it in boxes when i was sorting through my grandads things. I don't think i have worn it out yet but once i find something i feel perfectly happy wearing it with I'm sure i will.

The other two scarves are either thrifted or given to me by people, the gold and black one you can see picture spent the majority of the summer draped around my neck, it just makes the plainest outfits look a little more interesting. And then the final scarf is one i picked up this summer in a charity shop for £1.49 and that is also lovely and i have worn it with everything from shorts and a blouse to my kaiser chiefs shirt from 2007.

oh and the chair isn't mine its just in the room i stay in while were on holiday in Suffolk. though i wish it was my chair, everything in the place is quite old fashioned especially my room which is why i think i really like just sitting in the really deep window sill and reading.
