Retro Party Wear with Voodoo Vixen.

My love for Voodoo Vixen knows no bounds and this is another fabulous piece from them! Probably one of the prettiest and well fitting dresses I've ever had. here I'm wearing a 3xl and with the stretch in the fabric it hugs my figure perfectly and is really comfortable. I actually wore this with a long sleeved black tee under for Clothes Show from 6.30 in the morning until 6.30 at night and I felt so discomfort at all. As with some repro dresses I find the fabrics can rub on my skins and irritate it or cut into my tummy when I sit down but this doesn't at all! 

The flocked lace overlay sets the beautiful green colour off perfectly and this is something I wouldn't initially pick up for myself on first glance but the more I see it (hanging pride of place on my wardrobe door at this moment in time) the more I adore it! The tie at the neck is also a darling feature so much so I genuinely don't think it needs a necklace or all that much jewellery at all. I decided to style it up with a flash of a red rose in my hair (to match my lipstick!) which I picked up from one of my favourite stands at The Vintage Suitcase fairs, I never seem to leave there empty handed! Finished the look with this darling hand muff, I've been after one of these for years and when Collectif popped this one in the sale I decided to snap it up! 

I really wish these photos were nicer as I don't think they show how stunning this dress really is. Unfortunately cold weather and wind were against me, I must find better places to take my photographs!

Burning Desire For You Baby.

The lovely ladie(s) over at Desire Clothing sent me this dress what feels like forever ago now but I've finally caught my breath and managed to take a few snaps for you! i have to admit I had briefly heard about Desire Clothing and just assumed it was a store very similar to places such as Misguided and Daisy street but I was certainly surprised when they contacted me for this as so many items on the Curve section of there site side are fab! Check out the site as they often have new bits and bobs in and I just had a look and want everything!

I utterly adore the lace detailing of the fabric around the neckline and how lovely it looks on the back as well. I've worn this pretty dressed down really, you could easily wear it for a formal occasion! I also love the fact the lining is shorter than the outer skirt of the dress! Meaning if it does shrink slightly it won't end up with the lining being longer which is a pet hate of mine and completely ruins a dress for me!

The only slight downside to this if it's even one is that the sizing is extremely generous I originally ordered my usual size 20 as in the past I've had pieces from KoKo by Koko ( which is the label on this dress) and had to size up but this time I sized down 2 sizes and I'm pretty certain a size 14 wouldn't of felt tight either. So if any of you are size 28+ I'm almost certain you'd all fit in this dress! Shock horror I'm baring my arms, I do realise they are the colour similar to a milk bottle but I don't care as I wanted to show of the back and how nice the dress is without ruining the line of the dress by throwing over a grim old cardigan! I just finished with a little gold shimmer on my eyelid, a slick of liner and my go to red lip! And finally I thought I'd just throw my hair up a little differently for a change, would you like me to pop some of my really naff hairstyle as it's something I can sit and do for ages!

Koko by Koko.

Evening guys though I'd all show you a little review tonight. The lovely people at Koko by Koko and Lovedrobe sent me this dress to review a few weeks back and I've actually worn it out since just didn't get chance to photography it until this last weekend! I loved it so much when it first arrived as soon as I got it out of the packaging I wore it to an album signing in Manchester. In case you were wondering who I went to meet it was that Aiden Grimshaw who was off the XFactor a few years back, so attractive in person.

Anyway I digress I ordered this in a size 22 as when I've ordered Lovedrobe in the past its been small fitting and I've had to size up but this is actually a little big and a size 20 would probably fit me perfect, so I'd say this is very much true to size! I will say that this is actually a very comfortable dress so perfect for a fancy night out where you want to feel your best but have maxim comfort, (I'm always that girl who's usually tugging at her buttons on her top the hem of her dress or dying in to high heels!) Apologies for my awful posture here, its making my tummy stick out more, I'm still getting used to those shoes to be honest! The only downside for me is that its a tad to long as I generally wear leggings under EVERYTHING, so I'd prefer this to be a little shorter so it wouldn't look odd with leggings but its nothing a bit of taking a hem up can't fix.

Over all I love this dress specially the colour. I tend to always wear very dark or black coloured dresses and this is something that generally is out of my comfort zone but I actually feel pretty damn good in this royal blue shade!

Simply Be Lace Dress.

Finally getting this post up I've had this dress since before Christmas but everything just got a little crazy and I never got round to wearing it for anything and didn't want to just take a picture of me wearing it in my halls! My brother took these photos for me before we left for a party last Friday! Where I ended up getting a little bit tipsy and talking my brother and another guy into coming to the pub not that they took much to get them to come!

Now this dress is utterly lovely I adore lace but can never find dresses that look right, they nearly always cling to my tummy but this one skims it nicely. I must confess it did not originally come with this slip under neath it but I wanted a whole black outfit so my belt stood out. I have to say though now looking back it looks better with the original slip so I'll wear that one day and show you! The lace is really soft and doesn't scratch at all (which I find happens with cheaper lace pieces) The only thing I thought when I first tried it on was that the arms are a little loose but that's probably for the best, comfort wise! I think you can really tell the quality of this when you wear it and it looks good with almost anything, I wore a charity shopped denim jacket over it on the way home as it was so cold!

I thought I'd be a little practical at the party so I wore my trusty leggings and not those heels! I just put them on for these photos, I don't think I would of lasted five minutes in those never mind five hours! These are the infamous heels I wore to Curves in Couture that nearly killed me, I'm definitely not a heels person but I can promise you that I will never learn this until its to late and I've broken my ankle in some stupid high ones! And on one last note I hope you all sincerely enjoy the picture of my face mid movement, proper Bieber fringe swish going on there as well!

A Little Yours Clothing, Part Two.

Here is another of the dresses the ever so lovely Yours Clothing sent me to review. Now online this dress seemed like a utter dream to me, I've been after a white lace vintage styled dress for quite some time mainly because all the lace I seem to wear is black! But when I first got this dress I wasn't so sure, the length seemed all wrong for me and generally not that flattering on my extremely apple figure. When I finally got round to taking some pictures of me wearing this I actually felt a lot better about it I don't know if its because my hair and make up is done and I've actually styled it with something or I'm just feeling better within myself? But I think this suits me better now than it did when I first put it on.

The lace itself is really soft as I know from buying pieces in the past it can sometimes be really scratchy on the skin and the lining underneath I am pleased to say is not that horrible sweaty fabric you tend to get with a lot of lined dresses. The armholes aren't to tight either which I was so happy about as generally I can get pieces to fit around my waist but then the arm holes aren't big enough and either don't fit at all or cut into my arm. I have a few minor downsides to this dress though when mine arrived there was a small hole in the back which is just where one of the frill bits is coming off I don't mind this as I can easily sew it back up and secondly I wish they'd also do this with long lace sleeves and a A-line mini skater dress style then it would be my perfect dress.

I have styled it with some new shoes I bought from Primark's wide fitting section and I adore them! And this lovely little suitcase style vintage bag I bought when I went to Antwerp with my College last November. The lipstick I'm wearing is from Rimmel and the rest of my make up was just foundation and some eyeliner around my eyes. For this I thought I'd do something new with my hair and I actually like it like this and may have to wear it like this more often!

Lastly I'm off to London for the One Stop Plus event on Thursday is anyone else going other than me, Naomi and La Cara?
