I decided to do a beehive style with my hair but I'm not sure it really worked. I have so much hair that by the time I've sprayed and backcombed it's already gone flat again because it's so heavy, such a pain! Then finished it with my usual red lipstick. Ps sorry I've been a little quiet I've finally made it back to work so I've actually been busy every day. (which FYI is a good thing!)
Sometimes you just need to go for it.

Simply Lovely.
Dress: c/o Simply Be. Belt: Asos Curve. Leggings: Matalan.
The lovely ladies at Simply Be were nice enough to let me choose one of my favourite dresses from the selection of beautiful party wear on the site and it's utterly lush! I have to admit when it comes to dresses especially Christmas dresses I'm always that girl who goes straight to black ones for some reason I always do, I feel safe in black because if you're clumsy like me and spill "ribena" all down yourself after your third glass of it black is always safer! This dress has definitely brought me out of my party dress comfort zone I didn't know I had until recently. The colours on this are to die for and look even more beautiful in person, I reflected the deep burgundy colour of the flowers with my lip colour which is Rouge Volupte by YSL.
I also find the cut of this dress really flattering and more importantly comfortable, it doesn't dig into my arms or waist in anyway or cling to my main problem area which is primarily is my tummy. I'm really impressed that the waistline on the dress isn't to long for me either as I'm only 5'2 so I'm pretty short! I love the capped sleeve as it means I have a little coverage on my arms and don't need to ruin the silhouette of the dress by having a unfitted cardigan. You can also see the lovely detail of the cut out on the back of the dress which makes it a bit more different though don't worry it doesn't reveal bra straps or anything like that! I just finished it with my belt to pull the look all together I like the harder edge it gives to the floral dress too!
I think it's pretty obviously that I love this dress and I'm sure it'll get lots of wear over this christmas!
Currently Coveting.
I am completely loving this Peplum Blouse from Matalan but unfortunately I tried it on in a size 20 and its pulls across my back and what's even more gutting is they don't go up to a 22. I know Matalan often go up to that size in a lot of the main size range and there plus size section it almost always pretty dowdy and not at all to my tastes! So it may be tight on me but I'm tempted to buy it anyway because you never know I might slim down (yeah right) and I just adore the cut and print so much it would be worth the shape wear!I've been looking at Peplum style tops for awhile now but I never found one in a colour or print that I liked, Matalan also have some more jersey fabric ones in really cute prints but there just a little too pastel toned for me. The main reason being if I'm running around and its summer I'm likely to get a little hot and pale tops aren't good for this and second I'm the clumsiest person ever and it would stain easily. No seriously sometimes I just miss my mouth when I'm drinking, I'm actually worse than a toddler! I forgot to add that this top also has really cute buttons down the back as a functional detail, this is priced at £14 which I don't think is to shabby at all, I just wished it was a little looser fitting on me for was in a jersey fabric!
Tomorrow I'm off to Sheffield for a special event with Panache, I'm super excited as I'll be meeting some new bloggers! Though kind of worried because I hate changing trains and I'm having to change at a station I don't know at all!
The Gazebo.
Now on to what I'm wearing, my mum actually found this dress at the back of one of the sale rails in peacocks and its only a size 18 so I was reluctant to try it but I'm so glad I did because it almost fits like a dream and is surprisingly comfortable! I think gem at Fat Frocks also has this dress if i recall and she looks lovely in it. And the price wasn't too shabby either at a tenner. My leggings are the usual from either Evans or Matalan I can't remember where. The shoes are from Peacocks and I'm in dire need of another pair before I ruin these I just love them so much and the socks were from Primark for 50 pence. I'm wearing my glasses because I was awfully tired and wanted to be able to see where I was going. I slept in plaits so my hair was wavy then just haphazardly stuck the headpiece I made on.
I can't wait to tell you all about my time at Vintage Life Magazine! I also go on holiday in a week and were hoping to get Internet there so I can still blog.
You'll remember me when the west wind blows.Among the fields of gold.

Yeah, i went for a walk a few nights ago and ended up spending some rare quiet moments in a field. How is it that when your walking with someone its not scary at all but on your own its F*cking Terrifying. Here is my new necklace and denim jacket the necklace is pictured in the post below. This jacket i found in a charity shop for the wonderful price of 3.99 and it works really well with my more summery clothes as well as my warmer ones. The tunic/dress i am wearing is from Dorothy Perkins in the sale and i have black leggings on from Evans.
I did a post on my beautiful Doc Martins when i first started blogging in April and here they still are in July! They are patent black leather ones and i love them dearly i can wear them with almost anything. I hope you like what i did with the pictures on this post i thought I'd try presenting them a little different, just comment below and tell me what you think of everything. I would say "honest is the best policy" but if you going to post something really horrid i wouldn't bother it won't upset me. much love.
