Dress: c/o Scarlett and Jo. (P)leather jacket: Dorothy Perkins. Shoes: New Look. Heart necklace: Me and Zena.

I feel like it's been awhile since I used song lyrics for a blog title so I just couldn't resist using George Ezra's for the post as it's an album I've been listening to a fair bit lately. Scarlett and Jo were nice enough to pop this cute navy dress across to me a week or so ago but my easter has been a little crazy so I've unfortunately only just managed to get the photos up!

I decided to try and go a little rockier with this look as so often now I automatically style looks with a  vintage twist. Which of course I do love but it's nice to shake things up every now and then even if it's only a tiny bit! I sized up in this dress but there wasn't any need to as always with Scarlett and Jo it is true to size, this is something I do love about them I nearly always know that a size 20 is a perfect fit for me whereas with other companies I often jump up and down their size charts. The dress is a little long for me but being only 5'2 this is something I'm used to and can either alter myself if I really want to but with this I quite like the longer length. I paired this with my very old leather jacket and a pair of shoe boots I bought in the sale a new look over a year ago but very rarely wear. My heart necklace may be a nightmare to try and photograph but I just love it so much I couldn't resist wearing it with this dress. I've been a huge fan of Me and Zena since I saw them in a Sugar Magazine when I was a teenager and last year when I was at the clothes show I fell upon their stand with some fab reductions and couldn't resist making a cheeky purchase or two! (still wishing I'd bought more though!)

Ditsy Prints with Scarlett and Jo.

Tunic: c/o Scarlett and Jo. Necklace: Topshop. Bag: Accessorize.

The lovely ladies over at Scarlett and Jo also sent me this pretty little tunic along with the Powerfit dress I reviewed here.  Unfortunately this specific tunic is no longer on the Evans site but was when I first drafted this post you can get the same style and cut but in this sweet feather print on this link.

As you can see this is a tunic but as I'm only 5'2 I can just get away with wearing it as a mini style dress and I actually really love it this way! The back is also a little like a dipped hem so it does completely cover your bum with length to space on me which is always a comforting thought! Now I'm a little more confident with my body I don't feel so worried about flashing my legs bare or in tights, so I plan to a lot more in the future! The fabric of this is in a stretch jersey and the most darling ditsy print which have a vintage flare to it of which you know I'm a huge fan of! Not only is this comfortable but it's also fits really well as in my experience all Scarlett and Jo pieces do. the 3/4 sleeve is something I also like on a dress as even though I'm more much confident than I used to be I do still feel a little self conscious over my arms so they're a lovely edition. However I don't tend to go for v neck pieces very often as I sometimes don't feel they really suit me but I'm surprised with how much I like this. I've also worn it a number of times as just a top tucked into a skirt with a vest top underneath. I just finished the look with a cute heart shaped necklace I got last year from Topshop and one of the coolest bags I own, I always seem to pick up a bag or two each year in the accessorise sale and this on is certainly a winner!

As you can see I've got nothing but glowing words for this lovely little tunic and honestly don't think I've ever had a bad word to say about a Scarlett and Jo piece they always come up trumps for me! So what are your favourite pieces from Scarlett & Jo's current collection?

Ladylike Glamour with Scarlett & Jo.

Dress: c/o Scarlett and Jo. Bag: Vintage. Earrings: Dorothy Perkins.

This lovely dress the babes at Scarlett & Jo surprised me with just before Christmas is something I'd usually shy away from. I'm definitely a skater dress, A-line, circle skirt wearing girl at heart they're my safety nets. I'm pretty much comfortable with now having my arms on show and I have no problem with my legs but something that always puts the fear of god into me are wiggle dresses and pencil skirts. I don't know if it's just because I spent so much time hating my tummy or what but it's something I never really comfortable of having visible BUT this dress may have just changed my mind!

This Scarlett & Jo Purple Lace Powerfit Dress helps to hold me in a little so everything sits better on me. This is thanks to the Powerfit which is a layer under the address which is put in basic terms like magic pants that hold you in! Such a fabulous idea and it does indeed boost your confidence a little, I'm wearing a UK20 here and it fits me well and I know I'm always this size with the brand. The lace detailing on the back yoke is also lovely and would look fabulous with an up do or just as I've done pinning some hair up. I utterly adore pretty much everything Scarlett & Jo do as a fashion design student myself I can see they truly think about how the pieces look on a plus size figure (something that unfortunately sometimes doesn't seem to be thought about with other companies) My only problem is there dresses are pretty long on me but I'm only 5'2 and can easily take them up if I need to. I finished the look with some earrings I almost forgot I owned and a vintage bag I picked up from a charity shop a couple of years ago, I know it doesn't match but I do feel that it still works with the dress!

I was sent this Lookbook a few weeks ago and I just couldn't resist sharing it with you! I've decided to let the shots do the talking so I won't ramble too much! These are from the latest collection by Scarlett and Jo exclusively available at Evans and I just adore them! They ooze the most perfect classic retro feel which is something as you all know I really love! From the styling down the set there isn't one thing I'm not a fan of! My favourite piece is the lovely black floral midi dress with the mesh cutout by the neckline. perfect mix of a classic retro cut with a modern twist, of course the print is also extremely lovely. I just can't say no to a pretty floral!

As number of the pieces are already available on the Evans site and you can check them out here.
I'm looking forward to receiving one of the dresses in the post and seeing if I look as sophisticated in the number as well as seeing how it'll work with my own personal style!

You can also find Scarlett and Jo on Facebook and Twitter.
What is your favourite piece from the collection?

Currently Coveting - Scarlett & Jo.

Hello! I've decided that now summer is here and I've got some more time on my hands it's time to start on my to do list for things I wanted to add to my blog and having more features was one of them! So I'm starting with the fabulous Scarlett & Jo and the items above are pieces which was on sale now on evans.co.uk. It was difficult to narrow it down to just 4 items as I love pretty must everything they release! A firm favourite being the Jersey tea dresses, Scarlett & Jo were kind enough to send me one quite some time ago and due to a whole number of things (which thankfully are now behind me) I never got chance to show you all on here, this said piece is no longer for sale in the print I own but I can confirm they are one of the most comfortable dresses ever, suitable for all manner of occasions and perfect for every day wear.

One piece I haven't had chance to try on from this wonderful brand is there prom skirts or two in one dresses. These are garments which would work perfectly with my own personal style and vintage aesthetic and my favourite skirts to wear are one with elastic waistbands like the one above, they're always comfortable and stay where they are supposed to, no twisting around during the day! Also don't get me started on the neckline of the dress it is my ultimate DREAM! I'm really favouring this style at the moment as it's got such a fabulous old classic Hollywood feel and I know the style of neck suits virtually anyone! Now for me the jumpsuit would be a bit of fun, unfortunately at towering only about 5'2 I generally can't pull them off without looking I've shrunk while wearing them but the print and style of this is just calling my name! With a plain kimono and wedges for a night out or a cropped denim jackets and converse it would just be the perfect summer look either way!

Don't forget you can pick up Scarlett & Jo at Evans.
You can also find them on Facebook,Twitter, Instagram and more!

I hope you enjoy my upcoming Currently Coveting brand features in the future (I know my editing skills above are less to be desired but I'm still sorting out my software so I can improve them!) and do let me know which is your favourite Scarlett & Jo piece!

In The Garden.

Dress: c/o Scarlett & Jo at Evans. Scarf (worn as belt): Vintage. Shoes: Matalan Wide Fit.

I saw this lovely dress way back in January at an Evans event. I instantly fell in love and loudly proclaimed said love to everyone in the room. Fast forward a good few months and the adorable girls at Scarlett & Jo popped it in the post for me and it was SUCH a lovely surprise! The Collar, Buttons and texture are to name but a few things I love about this dress. It can be dressed up or down and I've already worn it on a brief and casual night out with some of my friends and Once it's not boiling point weather wise I hope to wear it to work as well!

My only downside is I may have prefered the site up just for an over sized looser look and this would also mean it would be a little more space in the arms and neck. Not that I mind either way though it's something to just think about when trying it on! It also comes with a little tied sash for the waist band in the identical fabric to the dress but I fancied adding another dimension of colours into the miss with my lovely vintage scarf! I finished this look with my usual red lipstick and my hair how I always have it. May I also mention I've found another spot in my garden to take snaps! I always forgot about this tiny and slightly pointless path we have to a statue in the corner of my garden, it's a nice change from my usual brick wall!
