The orchard.

So these are just a few pictures I took after college today while I was wandering around my grans cottage and the orchard and field surrounding it. So this is basically my uniform for college I always tend to wear a skirt with a stripy top and leggings, just ask some of my friends! I think you have all possibly seen these pieces on the blog before, but I don't buy new clothes all the time in fact I've had this striped top (which was a dress but has shrunk with the amount of times its been washed) Since I was 12/13 and I wear it all the time it's perfect in the winter to layer up as well as summer when I want to keep a little cooler.


So my skirt is from Dorothy Perkins in the sale during Christmas and was possibly around about 3 pounds I also wore it in this post so you can check it out there also. These stripy dress which is now more suitable as a long t-shirt was from new look well over 5 years ago now I think? And I bought it for about 12 pounds, I have most definitely got my moneys worth out of this! The shoes are Evans and a couple of years old, I just added them for a splash of colour on my feet and to bring out the blues in the skirt, my leggings are matalan ones which I wear most of the time. And finally my sunglasses you have seen in a earlier post and they are ran ban style from primark and cost me the quite grand total of £1.

I'm keeping this post short and sweet, but just out of interest have any of my followers been invited to the Evans brunch next Thursday?

Spring.

These are jut a few pictures I took while I was visiting my grannies. She lives in a cottage in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. It's my favourite time to visit her in spring, when all the blossom is out and the orchard just seems to come alive. I have a few mores pictures from the last time I went so I'll post those up too sooner or later.

Woodland Creatures.

You may of already seen these two images on my blog before, they were taken in my granny's orchard. From my perspective after I had edited the tree image I felt there should be some manner of magical creatures either gathering around it to dance or going through a secret door in the trunk. Either way I think this proves I read to many fantasy and fairy books.

I think the mood in these images is enchanted because they are both quite dark but then the colours within the frame are bright and vivid against the dark night autumn sky backdrop.

In the future I plan to use where I shot these photographs as the view for my final garments at the end of my college year, as the area fits really well for the idea i have for my designs. Because I know the tree's and the orchard haven't change since the 1940's (that's a sneaky little clue).

I hope you all had lovely weekends mine has been a little mad to say the least. I will get back to some outfit posts in the next week and during the Christmas holidays I promise!

Fallen leaves, broken dreams.

These two images are another of my photoshop attempts but I actually think this worked out really well, I'm super happy with them. I feel I am just about getting the hang of all this photoshop business and may have to do a bit more of it, I'm only doing the simpler stuff mind!

I may of posted the original photograph on here before because I took it while I was in my Granny's orchard at half term. I think I'm going to try and use the edited image as a pattern for fabric on a design or something because hopefully that would look pretty cool.
