Dress: c/o Scarlett and Jo. (P)leather jacket: Dorothy Perkins. Shoes: New Look. Heart necklace: Me and Zena.

I feel like it's been awhile since I used song lyrics for a blog title so I just couldn't resist using George Ezra's for the post as it's an album I've been listening to a fair bit lately. Scarlett and Jo were nice enough to pop this cute navy dress across to me a week or so ago but my easter has been a little crazy so I've unfortunately only just managed to get the photos up!

I decided to try and go a little rockier with this look as so often now I automatically style looks with a  vintage twist. Which of course I do love but it's nice to shake things up every now and then even if it's only a tiny bit! I sized up in this dress but there wasn't any need to as always with Scarlett and Jo it is true to size, this is something I do love about them I nearly always know that a size 20 is a perfect fit for me whereas with other companies I often jump up and down their size charts. The dress is a little long for me but being only 5'2 this is something I'm used to and can either alter myself if I really want to but with this I quite like the longer length. I paired this with my very old leather jacket and a pair of shoe boots I bought in the sale a new look over a year ago but very rarely wear. My heart necklace may be a nightmare to try and photograph but I just love it so much I couldn't resist wearing it with this dress. I've been a huge fan of Me and Zena since I saw them in a Sugar Magazine when I was a teenager and last year when I was at the clothes show I fell upon their stand with some fab reductions and couldn't resist making a cheeky purchase or two! (still wishing I'd bought more though!)

The Fat Fabulous Four Challenge!

Today (well normally Saturday evenings but I'm late... my time skills are awful!) is the launch of  a lovely little challenge collaboration between me (obviously), Becky of The Ramblings of Mrs BeBe, Toni of The only way is Toni and Mhairi of Lilybobombs. We will all be bringing you a new post every two weeks on a saturday with our own takes on some top trends and styles, starting this week with lace!

Dress: Asos Curve. Black Tee/(P)leather Jacket: Dorothy Perkins. Trainers: Matalan (£5!)

Now I'm a massive fan of lace, I own a large quantity of the it but this is the only non black piece I own. I have worn it without a long sleeved top under but it was so bloody cold today that I had to! The only downside to this dress is the white top piece under the lace slides down, I wore it to see One Direction as few weeks back and they got an eyeful as they passed over us that's for sure!

These trainers have hardly been off my feet since I picked them up in the Matalan sale for a fiver! I bought them for summer but as all my shoes have slowly fallen apart and these were the only things that didn't let water in I had to start wearing them and now I honestly don't think they'll last that long! My (p)leather jacket was also thrown on for a little warmth, something else I've hardly had off since I got it back in January!

Do you still see lace as a fancy even sexy fabric? Or do you wear it casually as well?

Sometimes you just need to go for it.

I was struggling to think of a title for this post until I came across this quote on tumblr and it seemed pretty fitting. I feel like I've been just going for it so to speak with my fashion choices lately, from crop tops and high waisted skirts to more vibrant colours and interesting prints which is where this dress comes into play. I picked this up on Asos from the main range and its very roomy, granted I positive a few plus size girls would stay well away from a swing dress but I decided to take the plunge and they're now one of my favourite shapes to wear and so comfortable. The print also made it for me to, I honestly haven't owned anything purple as far as I'm aware until this came along and if you look closely you can see butterflies fluttering around the flowers so pretty! I paired this with one of my much loved necklaces which is from Claire's and my new jacket which has basically not been off my back since I bought it.

I decided to do a beehive style with my hair but I'm not sure it really worked. I have so much hair that by the time I've sprayed and backcombed it's already gone flat again because it's so heavy, such a pain! Then finished it with my usual red lipstick. Ps sorry I've been a little quiet I've finally made it back to work so I've actually been busy every day. (which FYI is a good thing!)

After Show Party.

Dress/Belt: Asos Curve (altered by me). Pleather Jacket: Dorothy Perkins. Clutch: Accessorize Sale.

I talked my mum into snapping these pictures while we were at the Pantomimes After Show Party (though its a week after the show's finished) I wanted to be comfortable as my stomach was killing that day and really swollen, thankfully you can't tell in the pictures or in this dress! The outfit wasn't thought about to much I just threw on what I felt like and I'm starting to really get into wearing tights again now after spending the last year living in leggings, though these tights were the bain of my life! Nothing worse than tights rolling down constantly!

I wore this dress a few weeks back for an event at Evans (which I will blog about soon, promise!) and loved it so much I new I had to wear it again as soon as possible! I wore it as a swing dress on that day but this time I decided to belt it with another Asos Curve purchase which has been worn to death on my blog already. All I had to alter was taking up the length as I'm short and curve dresses always seem to be longer than the normal range, its now at the perfect length. The pleather jacket is another recent piece of my wardrobe I've been after the perfect one for ages and they were either studded or to long in the body for me, I finally found this one in Dorothy Perkins and yes it was a little more than what I generally wanted to spend but for a timeless jacket I could let it slide this time! And finally my bag is new too, I got an accessorize voucher for Christmas of a relative and I knew I had to hunt this beauty down and snap it up in the sale, it works with so much of my stuff which I thought it wouldn't and it just gives a quirky edge to all my outfits!

My make up was a little dressier than normal with a shimmery eyeshadow and cat eye flicks then instead of my usual bright red lip I went for a softer look with a revlon just bitten kissable balm stain and I'm a huge fan of these, so look out on the blog for them in the near future!
