Lacoste - Unconvential Chic.

Lacoste Polo's: c/o Navabi. Skirt: Dorothy Perkins. Shoes: Evans. Scarf: Charity Shop. Glasses: Gok Wan.

Now I have to admit when the word Lacoste first springs to my mind I tend to think about the perfume or tennis gear not plus size but when navabi offered me the chance to try out there newly released Lacoste Polo's I couldn't resist finding a way to style them that doesn't remind me of anything overtly sporty because as you can probably guess I am not the sporty kind of girl! I received the red polo in a size 20 and blue in a size 22, I would say there isn't much difference in the sizing but to be a little looser I'd stay with the size 22.

I wanted to channel my inner Mod girl and keep it slick without stepping into the sportswear route. A must for me was to style it with structured pieces such as my denim skirt and add some patent flats to keep it polished. then bring all the colours together with the vintage scarf, I think it certainly looks more chic than Sports teacher cool! I utterly adore the 3/4 sleeve on the blue number as it's so different from the generic polo look. The colours pop perfectly particularly when paired with my classic red lip and vintage styled glasses frames. Now it's channelling it's way into Autumn I find myself wearing the fully buttoned up look more so I know I'll be grabbing these again to mix up my wardrobe some more. Block colours such as these are something I tend to shy away from when it comes to tops but after trying these beauts out I feel ready to face my wardrobe in full technicolour. I know these won't come cheap but I know these will wear wonderfully and will still look awesome in 5 years time due to the classic colours and shapes.

You'll be able to check these out on navabi any day now in fact the red piece is already up along with a few other styles! What do you think did I manage to make them suit a much less sporty style and inject some quirky cool into these poloshirts?
