Sunny Days, That Left My Skin Dark Red.

It's been 9 WHOLE DAYS since my last post and for this I do apologise in these days I've had my first year fashion show for which I became a "pro model" for a few days. Then the prep and tidying after along with popping into college to actually make clothes for fun for myself, which you've probably seen on Instagram if you follow me there, I've been a rather busy bee so instead of going on and on I thought I'd leave you with as limited amount of words I can! And obviously I couldn't resist a little old school Ed Sheeran for my title!

I've picked these vintage pieces I thrifted (y'all know it's a snazzier word for charity shopped) over the space of a few years, this bag being an all time favourite, the label inside stating empire made. The skirt which in fairness is slightly too big but nothing a fresh bit of elastic won't fix isn't really my normal style however the patterns and fabric we're just to much to pass up. teamed with basics and a statement lip to bring out the colour in the prints and I'm good to go!

Southport Pier.

I took these snaps while we wandered down the pier before leaving Southport after I'd visited Taking Shape. Looking back I could have probably worn something that was a little more high fashion and interesting but I knew I'd end up walking a fair bit (my Dad likes to aimlessly wander everywhere!) so I choose comfort over style. I also knew it'd be windy so decided against the adorable skirt I was going to wear, which I instantly regretted not doing so as soon I got there. I have to admit this shirt is probably a little too short to wear with leggings and a long vest something just doesn't look right... Oh well you live and learn!

I've been wearing these shoes ever since they arrived. I never thought I'd get obsessed with converse again like I was when I was 13 (wannabe emo years, my colour choice was bright pink/ black with star print laces, oh so cool...) but low and behold I've hardly had these beauties off my feet. they work with everything I swear even my lipstick! I'm wearing one of the new Bourjois Velvet lipsticks in these photos and I am in love it's giving my Revlon matte balm a serious run for it's money!

Even though I'm not in love with these photographs it was a sunny day and seemed a waste not to show them you! And I'll definitely be visiting Southport again as they're sprucing up so much on the front and there is also a number of hidden gems that make it even better!

Diamond's In The Sky.

Here's my second piece the lovely people over at Curvissa sent me forever ago to style up! As soon as

I saw this I knew it'd be perfect for the summer to dress up or down and also help keep me cool when the temperature was insane. It's something I also thought would be perfect to wear to work, comfortable to sit in all day at my desk but not crease easily. I adore the print of this as it's still quite tribal stylised but a little more classic and smart, particularly with the repeated diamond pattern. It's also a colour and cut I feel good in. It doesn't cling to my stomach or badly in any other places and the subtle hit of colour throughout helps me break my dark coloured cycle slightly. I have no problems with the sizing or stitching from what I can see! 

Here I'm wearing a size 20 and it fits like a dream for me personally, loose on my arms with the bat wing style to help me keep a little more cool without flashing my pasty top of my arms!

I kept the finished look quite simply with the chunky necklace from Dorothy Perkins which I picked up in the sale, some ancient peep toe flats which have certainly seen better days but I just love to much to throw away and yet again my new Vintage Clutch I picked up in the charity shop. I can see this appearing in a lot of outfit posts in the future as I just adore the embossed pattern on the outside of the leather, well at least I think it's leather! All I changed make up wise for this was a slightly stronger coloured lip to bring the colour of the dress up and out more to my face (if that makes any sense) I'm wearing a slick of Rimmel Apocolips in Stellar, which I love the intense colours of but do find them a bit much on my lips over time and tend to feather and bleed with repeated application on top of another, but I find them wonderful for giving a colourful and glossy finish to my lips so I put up with it!

Tribal Prints.

The lovely people over at Curvissa sent me a little package quite sometime ago and I've only just got the chance to post about the pieces! Unfortunately as per usual life got in the way a little bit yet again so some parts of my blogging life had to take a back seat for awhile but hopefully I'll be posting less sporadically as soon as possible, well until my laptop has to be taken in again for some TLC anyway! 

These trousers aren't something I'd normally choose to wear which is why I decided to give them a go as I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit more and these were a perfect first step! I tend to shy away when it comes to trousers or bottoms as due to being pretty short they're either way to long or due to my body proportions just don't look right on me! Here I'm wearing a size 18 in the shortest length they do, yes you heard me right they have length options which is rare and extremely wonderful! My only main issue with these is I feel joining of the two legs (ie the crotch) is sewn quite funny in a way it pulls slightly so wearing an oversized tee has hidden this little niggle for me, though I'm almost certain the only reason I noticed this is because I'm used to working with fabrics and utterly detest doing pants as crotches are so hard to do and I've become quite picky when it comes to them. Another thing is that Curvissa sizing can be a little confusing, just like most Plus Size companies really. I've tried a range of sizes from them and depending on the fabric and cut this determines what size I am in the item, just something to keep in mind! 

I kept the rest of the outfit quite simple so the bottoms were the main focal point. I paired them with my new clutch I picked up in a charity shop on holiday (which I'll show you in more detail soon as I have lots of bits and bobs to show you from then) and this cute and quirky ear cuff from Primark. High Waisted shorts and Vintage Tee's.

I'll try to keep this short as I just snapped these pictures after getting in from being at a friends flat/the pub so I'm probably a little worse for wear and looking a bit of a mess. But I've been itching to do an outfit post for days and I'm traveling home (again) tomorrow night so I knew I wouldn't have time then.

This top I bought in one of my favourite charity shops in my local town, I don't think I've shown it on the blog before but I know that I've been meaning to! I actually wore it to see one direction the day before Christmas eve. I adore the length of the sleeve hits just above my elbow meaning the area of my arms I'm self conscious about is covered and well the pattern is just adorable! It also has a slightly shoulder pad which I'll possibly take off eventually but for now I like it. The shorts I bought in the Dorothy Perkins sale online high waisted shorts were on my what I want from the sales list. Though I don't know if they work for me they just don't seem high waisted enough I seriously need some shape wear under them otherwise I get a little belly roll, I'm also worried that you can too obviously see the line of my tummy in them too but I suppose its mine so I should embrace it right?!

I just accessorised it with my trusty vintage bag from a charity shop years ago which has been fixed so may times now but I just love it so much I can't bear for it to break! This is the make up I wet out in so I do apologise if it looks like its slipping make up never stays on my face how ever much hairspray I cover it in! I hope to post again around sundayish as on Monday night I'm travelling to London for the Gok Wan for Simply Yours event SOOO EXCITED TO MEET GOK I MIGHT DIE IF HE SAYS ANYTHING NICE TO ME.

She had flowers in her hair.

Here's a little outfit post with two pieces I bought while in London, I will tell you all about my trip in my next post a long with photos! Just want to quickly say a huge thank you to Evans for inviting me to the event and I truly hope I get invited to more in the future as I feel I got so much out of it.

Anyway on to what I'm wearing the top is from New Looks straight size range and not the inspire section but its a slightly over sized style so it fits pretty well and is just so comfy, I need to buy more of them they will be just perfect for summer. You can style it in so many ways I've worn mine with v-neck jumpers as well as t-shirts over the top, so aspect to see this a lot over the coming months on my blog!

Now I adore this skirt, I've only had it a few days (since London) but I've literally not had it off. It's from h+m and is a size large from there normal range and is just lovely, the fabric, style, shape, just everything. And with the price of £6.99 I'm thinking about picking a few ones in different colours up as there just the type of skirt I like to wear. The cardigan in some of these photographs which I am wearing is just a old one from Dorothy Perkins I actually really could do with another black cardigan like it sometime soon.

My accessories are a mixture of homemade and thrifted. The headband you have seen before from a few posts I did over Easter and I made it myself for a fairy costume but I've actually fallen in love with wearing it. And I have to say I've had a few compliments on how nice it is and people don't think I've made it. The rings I'm wearing in some of these images are actually scarf clips but they also fit my fingers really well. I bought these from one of my favourite charity shops and they were possibly a pound each. I really love the whole look for this outfit and feel it could be a good transition between all the different seasons.

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag.

This is just a little outfit I put together for the panto after party (which is a week after the actual shows) I have some photograph's of the garments which I'll do a post on when I finally get a chance. I already realise you've seen everything I'm wearing in this at least one if not multiple times, well I'm remixing to create new looks and I have to say I really like the whole look of this final outcome.

So what am I wearing? This utterly lovely blazer I got my hands on in one of my favourite charity shops, Its originally from Bhs petite and scoring it for just over five pound was totally worth sending it to the cleaners for, it's my all purpose jacket i can throw it over anything. Most definitely had my moneys worth out of this! The dress you would of seen recently as it's from the evans sale, I have worn it so many times already it was also worth the price I payed for it. Then of course my tights are just basic 60 denier black tights from primark they come in a pack of three for 2 pound though unfortunately now they no longer make them high waisted so they seem to fall down much easier now. These shoes I wear all the time from popping them on for college to going out for a meal or even out to clubs for birthdays, I'm not really a high heels type of girl and these seem to just be dressy enough without me having to walk on stilts. The brogue flats were from Evans and at the time I got them discounted and they are just lovely. My bag is another charity shop find I got it a couple of years ago for about 1.50 and I just think it finishes off outfits nicely without having to have a bulky strap slung across my body.

I finished the outfit off with a really adorable rose ring from Dorothy Perkins which I got as a gift off one of the women in my dressing room as a thank you for helping her with all the quick changes and just being organised ( I may not be in my own life but I am when I'm working with costumes!) Then a slick of pillar box red lipstick which actually survived the night and my face covered in dream matte mouse and powder, then I was good to go.


These last two images are just to show you how the night went... lets just say I may of drank a tiny bit too much oh and that's my mum I'm glaring at on the picture above. I don't think she's been seen on my blog before, so erm here you go. And again below is me and my mum possibly arguing but most definitely NOT dancing! Yes I realise there not the most flattering photographs but at least they bring a smile to my face.

Precious kisses words that burn me.

Afternoon. I apologise for the lack of posts this week, I've been away with my college on a trip to Antwerp ( I'm guessing right now a few of you may be looking puzzled because you have no clue where Antwerp is, don't worry I didn't really either) in Belgium. There will be lots of posts up in the coming weeks from my trip because somehow I managed to take about 215 photographs in 3 days. And right now I really want to admit something.... I am desperate to go Antwerp again but maybe on my own or drag a family member with me I just feel like i want to explore the place so much more! It may just be one city but there is such a hive of activity within its walls (not that it has walls, it's a figure of speech).

Now finally on to one of the outfits which i wore during my trip to Antwerp. This is what i put on for my first day and it being November it was bloody freezing! So the thick knitted tights were stuck on as well as my vintage scarf (which half way through the day ended up wrapped around my head "apparently" we had brought the English weather with us...) long sleeved striped top which came in handy because it almost like a dress so it kept the top of my legs warmer too. The cardigan and coat were a necessity a lot of my outfits were hidden by my coat during the trip just because it was always really chilly. Then finally i had to carry a sketchbook around and colours and pencils so a practical bag was a good thing!

On my trip me and my friends were informed about a shop where everything inside was 2 euros be it a bag, scarf or even leather jacket! So i bought 2 shirts (one is seriously AMAZING) and a grandad jumper. I could of bought SOOO much in the shop but i had to resist because i virtually had to sit on my suitcase to close it anyway! I also bought a gorgeous little box bag from a second hand bag shop which was like Aladdin's cave, you will be seeing that shortly in another post.
