Fatkini.

Bikini: c/o Swimsuitsforall. Kimono: c/o Yours Clothing (old) Sunglasses: Red or Dead at Specsavers. Shoes: Evans.

This is my last of swimwear posts in collaboration with Swimsuitsforall unfortunately I've been a little slow with this one and the two piece has since sold out, however this little number is the same cut and style. I've said in pretty much every post I've done on these guys at how much I've genuinely loved each piece and that I've felt surprisingly comfortable in them and baring my chubby self and this Bikini or "Fatkini" is no different. I feel confident and comfortable and really wish the weather was still good enough to go to the beach!  I'm wearing either a US 18 or 20 here and they fit really well. Again I love the high waisted bottoms as they go over my belly button as the lower part of my stomach I don't exactly wish to show off as it's probably my least confident area. The top is comfortable and more supportive than a more basic bikini as it has underwires, it doesn't however give a good cleavage which is a pro or con depending on what you're looking for in swimwear!

I kept the accessories to a minimum but decided to opt for a cover up as it was colder than it looks on these photos and also because I thought this kimono from Yours would look really cute with the bikini! My sunglasses are pretty old from Supersavers but I love the chatty shape and the two tone colour! I've also filmed a YouTube video along with this which you can see here. (my hairs down in it as I thought it looked better, way prefer the bun though!)

Pining Over Playsuits.

Now the weather is getting a little better here in the UK I thought I'd start looking for some playsuits for the summer again. As I'm a great lover of the playsuit or romper (though I'm not a massive fan of that word) it's something that until less than a year ago I always wore with a pair of tights under as I was worried about my stumpy legs and chunky thighs. However as I'm now way more comfortable with my body than I once was I can't wait to get my legs out, so lets bring on the sunshine!

All three of these playsuits are from Yours Clothing as I've seen the blue acid wash and tropical floral ones in the flesh I know how fab they are! My favourite is definitely the floral number at the top which was modelled by the utter babe that is Tess Holliday. I was actually luckily to meet the lovely lady and all the yours team along with some blogger ladies at a dinner in April, which I will eventually blog about but unfortunately haven't yet been able to sit down and write up properly with all the deadlines I have at the moment! I find the black playsuit with the daisy neckline would be something I could wear when I wish to be a little more dressy in the summer without the discomfort! And the primary reason why I love playsuits is usually I don't get chub rub when I wear them!

Hopefully these pieces will be in store soon as I'd love to go and try them on next time I'm near a Yours! P.S have you notice that Yours Clothing have had a little make over on the site and it is now a complete dream to shop on?

70s Revival with Yours Clothing.

Black Kimono, Tassel Bag and Tile Print Tunic: all c/o Yours Clothing. Hair Chain: New Look. Shoes: Matalan.

I'm sure you've all seen the massive 70s revival that is circulating at the moment and I'm so happy that some plus size companies have taken it on board and have given the trend option to girls like me as well! One of my favourites being Yours Clothing who were lovely enough to offer me the chance to style up some of their pieces. This trend is something I'd normally lust from afar as the 70s isn't really an era I take inspiration from for my day to day wear as I'm a 1950s girl at heart but I'm so happy I have for this as I'm loving it!

I've accidentally gone a little gothy for these photos but I quite like it! I picked up this hair chain up a few weeks ago as I've been dying to try one but I just wasn't sure I'd be able to pull one off (and I'm still a little undecided!) however I do feel it works really well with the rest of the look, maybe I'm just far to used to my full fringe! I felt with this I didn't need any other accessories such as jewellery but the lovely tassel bag was the perfect finishing touch! I adore these garments and I didn't think I really suited kimono's but this one I've fallen head over heels for and can't wait to wear it over other dresses come the summer. The dress is also extremely comfortable and is a subtle nod to the 70s trend without being overly in your face like hardcore flares would be! For reference I sized up in the tunic to a UK22 as I do with all things this shape just to give a looser look so it doesn't cling to my tummy. For the Kimono I'm wearing a dual size 20/22 and feel this is true to size and would fit either really well!

You can check out the full Seventies Trend from Yours Clothing here.
And one of my lovely blogger babes Mrs Bebe has also posted some fabulous Seventies Style!

Top: c/o Yours Clothing. Jacket: c/o Yours Clothing. Necklace: Blackheart Creatives. Bra: Matalan.

The lovely guys over at Yours Clothing offered me the chance to choose a few pieces from the website to wear for Uni. I choose this fab top and jacket and some lovely jeggings and another top which you will see in futre post! As I now live at home while studying for my degree I don't really have freshers style nights out now but I did actually see The View (Which my post title comes from) at my friends Uni's SU in this top so it has technically speaking been on a uni night out! Here's a snap of us below (taken on my rubbish camera!)

I LOVE this top the burnt out rose print is so pretty and most importantly it's cool and comfortable, I also liked that it's actually long enough to wear with leggings and due to the very dipped hem at the back there's no fear of flashing your bum! The sleeves are also loose enough that I don't feel the need to cover my arms up with more layers. I like that I also feel brave enough to just wear a bra under it with the colour peeping through though for the night out I popped a vest under because I didn't fancy dealing with 100s of drunk uni lads being idiots. I'm wearing a UK size 20 and it fits wonderfully, the jacket is also a 20 and I can zip it up even when I've got lots of layers on so that's always a bonus, If you wanted a more fitted style you could size down. I finished the look with my usual red lips and my utterly amazing Fat Bitch necklace from Blackheart Creatives which always gets lots of comments and it's one of my all time favourite pieces of jewellery.

What do you think of my student styled night out outfit?

Plus North Premier Sponsor Spotlight Yours Clothing.

Incase you didn't realise I was lucky enough to join the Plus North team this year where I've been helping out with model things and such! We are starting a series of spotlight posts for our Premier Sponsors for the event this year so you can all see them before the big day on September 7th!

For the first spotlight posts we're on Yours Clothing. With stores throughout the uk and an online they're This will be Yours Clothings first time at Plus North so were of course really looking forward to seeing them there! As part of our spotlight posts we're doing a series of Take Fives with the team. The five of us will all receive the same item to style differently. For this challenge we were sent this adorable Dandelion Star dress. I wanted to be fun with this outfit and I think I suceeded don't you agree?

Dress: c/o Yours Clothing. Flats: Wide fit Matalan. Denim Vest: Dorothy Perkins. White Crop Top: Primark. Red or Dead Sunnies: Specsavers.

I love the print of this dress and how easy it is to wear. Another bonus IT HAS POCKETS! How rare is it to find dresses with pockets lately? The length is also great on me too I initally thought it may be a little long as I'm abit of a midget at 5'2 but it's actually great. As it's so warm all I want to do is tie my hair up off my neck as it's so thick. I even got it cut only last week so it would be more bearable but unfortunately it's not. I'm not sure if you can tell in these pictures but I've actually got rid of my ombre for now, so my hairs looking more natural than it did when I was 12!

I hope you enjoyed my silly and more fun pictures and you can check out how the rest of the team styled up this cute dress below!

Monday Night.

I missed out on posting my Mugshot on Monday because me and my lovely friends at uni all had a Christmas dinner which may I say was SOO GOOD and then I somehow got talked into going to a club with one of my friends who I'm living with next year and a group of guys were friends with who also came to our Christmas meal! This is what I wore to go "clubbing" in and for I meal I just had a denim skirt over the top of it so this dress was worn as a top. I looked okay at the start of the night but by the time I got back to my halls (at 4am! I swear I've not stayed out that late ever!) I was completely drowned we thought it would be a good idea to walk back instead of getting a taxi which was fine until the heavy rain started and the wind was blowing it at us so it was also painful! But other than that it was a really amazing night and I somehow only spent £2 and was really very drunk. Though you must all be very proud of me I got into bed at 5am my alarm went off at 8.45 and I got to my 3 hour workshop at 10am how I survived the whole session on I'll never know!

So what I'm wore was a tunic/dress from yours clothing which is so comfortable and doesn't really cling to my tummy at all if I wear shape wear anyway towards the end of the night it did but only because my tights had almost completely fallen down. I think the leopard print collar just makes it a bit more quirky and interesting. The cardigan was from Dorothy Perkins the bright blue of it just brings some life to my otherwise very black outfit. And finally my shoes ares little fold away flats from Evans which I bought in the sale for £5 though after getting drowned I'm worried they'll be ruined now!

I've got lots of pieces to blog about in the next week and I finish for uni on Thursday so I'm hoping to finally get to do more posts which I've been thinking about! And yes the second picture is me drunkenly dancing but believe me that was the best of a bad bunch!

A Little Yours Clothing, Part Two.

Here is another of the dresses the ever so lovely Yours Clothing sent me to review. Now online this dress seemed like a utter dream to me, I've been after a white lace vintage styled dress for quite some time mainly because all the lace I seem to wear is black! But when I first got this dress I wasn't so sure, the length seemed all wrong for me and generally not that flattering on my extremely apple figure. When I finally got round to taking some pictures of me wearing this I actually felt a lot better about it I don't know if its because my hair and make up is done and I've actually styled it with something or I'm just feeling better within myself? But I think this suits me better now than it did when I first put it on.

The lace itself is really soft as I know from buying pieces in the past it can sometimes be really scratchy on the skin and the lining underneath I am pleased to say is not that horrible sweaty fabric you tend to get with a lot of lined dresses. The armholes aren't to tight either which I was so happy about as generally I can get pieces to fit around my waist but then the arm holes aren't big enough and either don't fit at all or cut into my arm. I have a few minor downsides to this dress though when mine arrived there was a small hole in the back which is just where one of the frill bits is coming off I don't mind this as I can easily sew it back up and secondly I wish they'd also do this with long lace sleeves and a A-line mini skater dress style then it would be my perfect dress.

I have styled it with some new shoes I bought from Primark's wide fitting section and I adore them! And this lovely little suitcase style vintage bag I bought when I went to Antwerp with my College last November. The lipstick I'm wearing is from Rimmel and the rest of my make up was just foundation and some eyeliner around my eyes. For this I thought I'd do something new with my hair and I actually like it like this and may have to wear it like this more often!

Lastly I'm off to London for the One Stop Plus event on Thursday is anyone else going other than me, Naomi and La Cara?

A Little Yours Clothing.

This is one of the pieces the lovely people at Yours Clothing sent me to review and to tell you all the truth when I first put it on I wasn't keen it feels too big and I didn't feel as if it suited me. But once adding a few accessories and a signature red lip my feeling have changed, almost. I still feel its a really loose fit on my upper body but seeing me wearing it in pictures has made me like it a whole lot more. One thing I really liked about this dress is that it feels cool to wear and the arms are not tight so its lovely for a warm day. Its made of a quite thin fabric but in my opinion I feel I could definitely make this work for winter as well, just layer it up.

With all the pieces I was sent this is certainly my favourite now because it suits me the best. Unfortunately two of the pieces don't fit me at all, especially a pair of chino's I can't even get the zip up over my belly but this just might be my annoying body shape! I have to say I've had pieces from yours in the past and I absolutely adore them so I feel that the sizing is just a little bit hit and miss so I would just check what fabric its made out of before getting your usual size.
I would wear this again and I recently bought a lovely red cardigan from Dorothy Perkins which would look so great with this outfit so look out of it again in the future on my blog! The accessories I'm wearing are the hat (£3) and shoes (£6) from Primark and the belt was from Matalan for £2.

My hairs grown quite a lot recently and I don't know whether to cut it a fair bit before uni or just leave it. I've also been trying to clear the red tones from my hair and I don't seem to be having any luck! I coloured it a darkish brown colour a few weeks ago and it seems to have just completely faded? I'm planning on eventually ombre'ing the ends but I might just give in and go to the hair dressers!

(P.s my fringe has FINALLY grown back after the slight disaster I had with it at my hairdressers! Sooo Happy)
