The lovely Isha from An Autmns Grace snapped these for me very quickly after an event what seems like forever ago! And surprisingly I kind of love them, usually I'm pretty critical with the shots that make it on here but we were having such a giggle and I think that really shows! I know I've been a little quiet on the outfit posts front over the last month or so but I'm hoping that will soon change! I've decided even if it's just a quick phone selfie of an outfit if I love it I'll post it up on here for you all to see! 

This was worn for an event in London and on the train for hours (the first of which will be featured on the blog very soon!) I love this skirt and it still makes me extremely happy that if I can't find exactly what I'm after in the shops now I can just whip something up for myself! I wore a cheap petticoat from eBay under the skirt just to give it even more volume! Since these were taken I've had my hair cut to a shoulder length bob style as I'd gotten to the stage where I just needed it cutting drastically to breath some life back into my hair! The top is rather old from Asos Curve but something I surprisingly get a lot of wear from. However I did have to order it in a size above my usual so the arms are a little loose!

Don't ask me what's going on in the middle image, there was a worse one but my expression was even worse!

Anna Scholz for Simply Be Event!

Back in Mid February on the single day it didn't rain while I was in London for a few days I attended the fabulous event at Anna Scholz HQ to see the latest pieces, play dress up and of course hang around with some of my favourite girls! I'm sure you've read about it this on lots of blogs by now but I'm being fashionably late(?) to the party with only just getting chance to write it up now. As always the Simply Be team were an utterly pleasure to be around as was Anna Scholz herself and the rest of her team. Particularly her pup Frida who I'm just a little bit smitten with!

The clothes are to die for and I surprisingly fell in love with a amxi dress something I'd probably never normally go near but the colour, pattern and trimmings are what pulled at my heart strings and it's certainly something I'm going to have to try on as soon as I can. I've also began a love affair with the bomber jacket of dreams, which is purely an Anna Scholz piece I believe and not one in conjunction with Simply Be? It felt amazing on, fitted perfectly (I tried a sample 18 not thinking I'd get it zipped up but it was utterly divine) and the embroidery OH THE EMBROIDERY! At this point I'm sure it's pretty clear that I'm a fashion design student as it was so colour and perfect and just needs to be mine really!

And lastly it's the lingerie that did it for me! If they'd had my size on the rail I may have had to have slipped into something more comfortably and given it a whirl, the vibrant and decadent colours are just stunning in person and the fabrics feel lovely to the touch and as I'm sure you'll know some underwear is wonderful to look at until you see what type of fabric it is.You can take a look at all the fabulous lingerie, Anna Scholz for Simply Be has to offer by clicked on this link.

A lovely tea party with Fashion World and Claire Richards.

While I was in London almost two weeks ago (HOW depressing is it that it's that long ago now?!) I got the chance to attend some wonderful events and this was my second one. I met up with the utterly fabulous Nancy of Sugar, Darling? and we made our way over to the utterly lovely Haymarket Hotel, which took us longer to find than it should have, I blame google maps! Once we entered through the door we were offered cocktails in a teacup but as I don't drink anymore I really went out and had a glass of water. Next up we ventured into the kitchen and had the option of getting our nails done, naturally any excuse for a bit of a pamper I had mine done the most lovely lilac colour by Essie.

After this we popped on upstairs, yes upstairs is what I said I'll just mention this now that they had it set out like an adorable little home with floral accents and sweet treats galore (basically my dream home) to find a good spot ready for Claire to talk her latest collection with Hilary Alexander, naturally the fashion student in me was very excited about this and I'm happy to report that both ladies were an absolute delight and Claire is honestly in my top five of nice celebrities I've met.

It was fantastic to hear Claire discuss the collection and she is genuinely very involved as I know some celebrities will just front something but Claire goes to very meeting, fit sessions and has a hand in what designs she wants to go for. A number of pieces were inspired by some of her vintage collection and don't worry there isn't a hipster jean from her Steps days in sight! All the pieces look wonderful and you can see the detail and thought process that has gone into each piece, I'd find it impossible to choose a favourite item but I would love to try out the high waisted jeans as I find it impossible to find jeans that look even remotely nice on me! Once the official talk was other Claire popped around talking to everyone but then ended up chatting to us bloggers for about half an hour! It is clear to see that Claire has really thought about how much of a key part comfort is when it comes to plus size clothes but she hasn't compromised on style. Basically she's an utter babe and I now love her a little bit.

Cut For Evans.

Last week I was lucky enough to be in London for a few days and be invited to a number of rather fabulous events the first being the launch of Cut for Evans in association with Now Magazine. I met Rivkie the fabulous editor of Slink Magazine just before the event so thankfully I didn't have to arrive alone, I did however go and hide in Next to try and make myself remotely presentable after being drowned in the rain luckily Evans had hair, make up and lovely nail painting happening so thankfully I got my hair spruced up!

Evans have ran a competition with fashion students from a number of universities who are famed for there knitwear and print specialities to design a capsule collection they chose one winner for each catagory these being the lovely Alice Farrow for print and Rebecca Partington for knitwear. I adore the outcome as a fashion design student things like this really get me excited for creating my own plus size garments and playing with print and colour is something that lets be honest is quite rare when it comes to plus size fashion. A number of girls were wearing items from the collection throughout the store and they all looked amazing!I'm totally regretting not picking up any while I was at the launch!

All the pieces are of course very visual and not for the faint hearted but from what I've seen of all the ladies wearing the pieces everyone seems to look amazing in the garments! It was also so lovely to see so many of my blogger friends under one roof, which doesn't happen very often for me anymore as I can't visit London quite as often as I used to. It was also utterly fabulous meeting some ladies I've spoken to online for the first time in person, even though we all follow each other on twitter so you basically feel like to know everything about each other anyway! I can't wait to see what else Evans have up there sleeves for the rest of 2014 and I hope they keep coining for talent such as this to show that plus size fashion can more often than not be VERY exciting!

Bertie!

These pictures are from the Dune press event I went to last week from the Bertie section which I have to say is my favourite! I took so many pictures I'm having to split them into a few posts, I never used to be a lover of shoes but now I seriously am!

I just want to say a big thank you to Amy for inviting me to the event it was my first none plus size press event and I did very much enjoy it as I did the clutch bag I got given which will be perfect to brighten up all my black gear so watch out for that in and outfit post over the coming month! All the shoes were amazing and I've always lusted over Bertie's collections and when bloggers wear the shoes, one selection of there shoes which were displayed in a cabbage patch no less were my favourites and they were inspired by festivals primarily coachella I even did a little video in the Bertie Shed about the shoes with Amy (the image second from the top was taken by the lovely Amy in the shed!) I don't know whether the video will ever be seen, but I do recall using the word hip honestly you'd think I was really old!

Over all it was a lovely event even though I did feel a bit out of place going to it all by myself, though I'm very proud that I was brave enough to do so! Hopefully I'll get invited to some others in the future as it was honestly so interesting! And I finally got to meet Amy who I now adore even more!

Monday Mugshot, Week 9.

1. As if I'm on week 9 already uni has seriously gone so fast! I only have a couple of weeks left then I'm done for Christmas which is totally crazy but YAYYY CHRISTMASSS, if you don't know I've been listening to Christmas music since half way through October and I'm glad more people are starting to feel festive!

2. I'm having to wear my beret a lot at the moment, my hairs pretty much completely grown out and my fringe is just driving me mad but I actually quite like the centre parting when I've got my hat on, thankfully on Saturday morning when I'm home I'm going to get it cut though I don't know what I want done or if I want to have a long fringe, what do you guys think?

3. Most of you by know will of seen or heard via twitter about curves in couture and how amazing and fun it was, honestly I forgot how much I loved spending time with bloggers such as Lauren Claire and George (who I met on the night of the show!) I think once you start bloggers and speak to bloggers you've seriously made friends for life!

4. This week I'm yet again off to London for a night... even though I have a deadline the following Monday... I just couldn't pass up on the simply be event and then I've literally just been asked to the Dune/Bertie shoes one and well I ADORE BERTIE SHOES so I'm going to try and make that one on Wednesday as well, so if anyones attending this then please let me know I don't really fancy it alone and not knowing anyone!
