Monday Mugshot, Week 4.

1. Just me here wearing my new lipstick after what feels like a very long day at uni. The lippie itself is one of Kate Mosses new ones for Rimmel I actually bought two of them a deep pinky colour and a more wearable coral I'm now planning on buying the red from the collection as I love the colours and how well they seem to stay so far.

2. Finally beginning to feel ever so slightly more settled at uni now, classes are starting I have more of a routine and a nice little group of friends. The weeks don't seem to drag quite the same as that first week did which is good I guess.

3. It seems to be cooling down again!!! I can wear a jumper without dying... though as always I seem to be the one melting in my lectures and seminars? I think I must just have a ridiculous high body temperature all the time! but its definitely more long sleeved weather than vests now, which in my opinion is bloody good news.

4. I need to get back into outfit posting and such more! I have a few little bits to show you I just have the issue of finding somewhere to take them, I've managed to half drag in one of my new friends called Nicola to take my pictures ( with her fancy pants camera, which she offered to use) but until then I may have to do it in my mirror!

1. I've now started properly at uni and I've already missed one session because I've caught the flu and I can't even use the excuse that its freshers flu! It's just hit me really hard and I'm yet to have my flu jab so its completely knocked me out for six. The image above is what I've been consuming since Friday night obviously not all at once!

2. I did my presentation of my summer project today it went okay other than my uncontrollable temperature at the time, I think my new tutors had guessed I wasn't well....

3. Yet again I'm planning on going home at the weekend but its nice to know I have Fridays off so hopefully I can get my lovely dad to pick me up on Thursday night. Even though I went home last weekend and I have a feeling I caught the flu off my folks.

4. Is it just me or can anyone else not wait for the cold weather! I swear I've never looked forward to it so much in my life! 20+ degrees in October who ever decides on our weather is seriously messing with us!

So has anyone else ventured out into the wild outdoors and returned looking reminiscent of a yeti? Well I have. These photo's were taken on Monday before the snow got really bad! But right now I feel the need to tell you all a little something... I normally LOVE cold weather in winter and everything that goes along with it but this year my hearts just not in it. What I mean by this is that I'm really feeling the cold for once, so now thankfully to this happening I now understand what my mum means by "cold right through to the bone" because I'M FEELING THAT. I did manage to brave the weather for about ten minutes to take some rather bad photographs, I think I really am going to need to invest in a tripod it would make outfit posts so much easier!
Here you are, this is what I wore on Monday until it became so cold I retreated to my big cricket jumper. This is one of my new dresses I had to return some things to Matalan and I saw this top/dress piece and on the hanger it didn't look that nice but I liked the shape, so I thought I'd try it on and actually I personally think it fits pretty well and is really comfy! And at ten pounds it was well worth it. I have also worn this dress layered up with a long sleeved top underneath and a grey cardigan over the top and belted... it may sound a lot but Manchester is cold!

The necklace I am wearing is from Dorothy Perkins about three or so years ago. It was actually gold colour plated originally but now it's more of a bronzey shade thanks to wear and tear. My leggings are from Evans which is wear I get the majority of my jeans as well because they seem to fit really well. Then on my feet I am wearing my patent black Doc Martens which have so far this week been life savers! I just wish I had a plain pair which were just leather boots because I do worry about the patent leather cracking when they get weathered. So if anyone has any for knows where I might be able to get a pair for about forty odd pound (because my patent ones were that price too) let me know! Cause my Docs have possibly been my best shoes so far.
So how are you all surviving the weather, rugged up warm with a horlicks?

Afternoon. I apologise for the lack of posts this week, I've been away with my college on a trip to Antwerp ( I'm guessing right now a few of you may be looking puzzled because you have no clue where Antwerp is, don't worry I didn't really either) in Belgium. There will be lots of posts up in the coming weeks from my trip because somehow I managed to take about 215 photographs in 3 days. And right now I really want to admit something.... I am desperate to go Antwerp again but maybe on my own or drag a family member with me I just feel like i want to explore the place so much more! It may just be one city but there is such a hive of activity within its walls (not that it has walls, it's a figure of speech).

Now finally on to one of the outfits which i wore during my trip to Antwerp. This is what i put on for my first day and it being November it was bloody freezing! So the thick knitted tights were stuck on as well as my vintage scarf (which half way through the day ended up wrapped around my head "apparently" we had brought the English weather with us...) long sleeved striped top which came in handy because it almost like a dress so it kept the top of my legs warmer too. The cardigan and coat were a necessity a lot of my outfits were hidden by my coat during the trip just because it was always really chilly. Then finally i had to carry a sketchbook around and colours and pencils so a practical bag was a good thing!
On my trip me and my friends were informed about a shop where everything inside was 2 euros be it a bag, scarf or even leather jacket! So i bought 2 shirts (one is seriously AMAZING) and a grandad jumper. I could of bought SOOO much in the shop but i had to resist because i virtually had to sit on my suitcase to close it anyway! I also bought a gorgeous little box bag from a second hand bag shop which was like Aladdin's cave, you will be seeing that shortly in another post.
I hope you've all had a lovely week. Any of your lovely people found any bargains lately?
