Bows and blossom branches.

Just thought I'd show you what I wear on a weekend or whenever if I'm totally honest. I'm not really feeling myself at the moment the thought of growing up is kind of terrifying me at the moment! I also took a lot of pictures for this but none seemed right so I ended up using the first picture I'd taken. But never mind I actually really like what I'm wearing and the main thing its pretty comfy.

So anyway on to what I wore, My top is from peacocks and was featured in one of my early Lookbook picture from last summer which you can see here. The leggings I'm wearing are from Matalan and are most definitely the most trusted pair I own. Early today Naomi from Diamonds 'n' Pearls tweeted about how see through some leggings are and I have to agree with her you don't want to know what the girl in front of yours knickers are like! I do own a pair like this though they weren't "cheap ones" the best I've found so far are from Matalan and just to verify (and believe me I've asked enough people) you cannot see my knickers through them. Cardigan is a old favourite and has been seen on the blog many times its from Dorothy Perkins. The ring I purchased last year from the Topshop sale for £2 and opens like a little locket which I think is really cute and I first wore in this post.

So the new things in this post are my lovely shoes which I bought from Primark for 6 pounds for my brothers graduation (I'll do a post on that soon) and the necklace which I found while I was out shopping with my cousin and mum. I bought it for £2 in Matalan and just genuinely really love it though I did have to put some extra chain on to make it a more comfortable length on me. My hair is kind of a mess one piece was clipped to the side then I just had my donut in (which didn't last very long as I felt it made my face look too big, I'm just having on of those days. To finish I was wearing my glasses (they are not a fashion statement as people seem to thing I do actually need them to see) and some red lipstick which you can't even really see because I had my head down! I changed my nails today so they are now coral and red I got inspiration from mademoiselle robot and I really love the outcome.

Henry Holland.

I know this video's been out a while and I wasn't sure whether I'd actually posted it before but I just love Henry Hollands stuff, so I thought I'd just pop it up anyway. I adore the snooker ball jump suit on here and just all the colours and everything. I'm also becoming a big fan of his tights and socks though I don't think I can get the tights in my size, at the moment I'm on the hunt for some of his socks on sale! I'm not going to write anymore about this because you can all watch the video.

Lastly I have a big whopping crush on Henry Holland.

The wierd and the wonderful.

this slightly weird, pretty wonderful, and most certainly unique, fashion film is from Topshop. And from my understanding it is there Christmas/new year cinematic interpretation of there coming collections and garments. This video consists of everything from glitter encrusted mini dresses and sequin sparkled shift dresses to toasty leopard print coats and feathery capes and jackets to keep you cosy if you’ll be venturing outside on new years is it quite obvious there a lot happening and being shown in this film.


But within this other than just the fashion there are some extremely intricate and obscure make-up ideas in it too. With smoky grey eyes and lashing of black mascara which is then teamed with mountains of glitter as well as being loaded with sparkly gems which over all is teamed with the more demure and sophisticated red lip.

I think the model in this lovely piece of cinematic fashion is Georgia May Jagger who is definitely known for her statement red lips and the gap in her front teeth which I now think she wouldn't look like herself without it, do you know what I mean?

I find this woman seriously amazing. Her voice is insanely good in such an alternative way!

Soon I'll post some of Blondie's videos up because i love them so much, and its not just the music i find totally inspiring it's what she stood for as well. Debbie Harry was a show woman nobody messed her around she was the front woman he kept everything together even when behind the music it wasn't. I'm not going to pretend that Blondie weren't as you would say off the rails. I know every well that the majority of the time they were off there heads with drugs and what ever else, But in those times i suppose its what certain musicians did. But to me none of that matters because some of the meaning behind Debbie's lyrics are really inspiring for that era.

If you read the lyrics from picture this they are showing the role reversal which was starting to happen, "The one I spent watching you shower" well woman were always known to be looked at due to there beauty or whatever, not men. So here Debbie is announcing that she wants a picture of this man because she watches him like men look upon women and well there's nothing wrong with that? so why should they have a problem with her looking at them? She also states that having photographic evidence of the person in the song is like making the relationship solid or official. Through out all the lyrics the obvious message is that sometimes women are looked at like objects by men so women can look at men like objects. I think this is showing that in the social climate at that time women had as powerful jobs as men and became equal and Debbie is just cementing this with some of the lyrics.

Now onto her fashion! Debbie was known for what seemed like long t shirts and socks when she was out on stage, though she did always have her legs out but i guess if you've got em flaunt em! (in the bottom picture you can just see her stage style). Even though shoulder pads were a huge trend i don't think I've ever seen a image of Debbie wearing a full on 80's set. She was her own Style and scene and that is why i love her. Debbie's hair was also what made her "Blondie" in the early years of the band she did the infamous colour herself, and that is why there was always a piece of dark hair at the back because she couldn't reach and this is what became her glam grunge style and made her different from all the rest. Also Debbie wore what she wanted to and wasn't dictated by fashion like many people today though other singers and actresses have tried to copy or have been inspired by her look no one will be able to fully pull it off other than the Blondie icon herself.

Right i feel i have now rambled on far to much but i do just utterly love this woman. And when i grow up i want to be just like her... minus the drugs.
