The Holland and Barrett Natural Beauty Event.

Here I am with resting bitch face! (I was actually really interested though!)

So a few weeks ago now I was invited to the Holland & Barrett Natural Beauty Event at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester. I was super nervous about attending this event as it was the first one that I didn't really know any of the bloggers at but the team from Iprospect who organised it were so warm and welcoming it soon felt really at ease! I also think sometimes attending a blogger event on your own means that more people will approach you when you're flying solo! They'd also put lunch on for everyone attending which was lovely and even made sure there was some special Gluten Free options for me, which was unexpected but so lovely of them to do so and the food was so good!

The room was light and airy with stands around the parameter and a presentation section in the centre. This was for when we were treated to a talk by the Beauty Marketing Manager from H&B, before this event I had an understanding that they did offer some beauty and skincare options but I wasn't aware how extensive their range was and I absolutely loved hearing about it and also feel like I learnt ALOT! (which you can hear me rambling more about on my YouTube video) They have a massive range online and I'm pretty sure this is something many people wouldn't know! H&B also have DIY tutorials and articles about the products on the site as well which are always handy! We also had a little talk from The Beauty Kitchen about their body Scrubs and the Make Your Own bar in Holland & Barretts new superstore in Chester which I'm definitely planning on having a look at next time I'm there (SPOILER: I've used the scrub and it's completely different to what I'm used to but I LOVE it!) They also treated us to a demo of their DIY lip balm kits, I didn't realise how easy and quick they'd be to make!

If this wasn't enough us bloggers also had the opportunity to get our make up done with the new Beautiful Movements make up range which is all mineral make up and something I've never really forayed into beyond mineral foundation powder! So I decided to get a full make up look done which you can see on my instagram here. I absolutely loved the make up and my skin didn't feel heavy or caked up, I was also amazed that there was something to counteract the redness in my skin and dark circles in powder form as I usually use heavy duty concealer for this! I'm really looking forward to trying more of the range. The make up artists were also the nicest girls ever which make the experience even more fun! There was also the option to get a manicure with Zoya polishes which are stocked at H&B but I was chatting away so much to all the lovely bloggers I met that I didn't get chance, though I'm a nail biter anyway!

Dr Organic were also there to discuss some of their newer ranges and firm favourites, I'd heard of them before but I didn't realise the number of products they actually had under their umbrella! These ladies were also really nice to talk to and there wasn't any stupid questions we could ask which put all of us at ease! I'd spoken to them about my dry skin/scalp complaints and they were really helpful in pin pointing me to what could have been causing it!

I just want to say a huge thank you to the girls at Iprospect and Holland & Barrett for putting on the event and I can't wait to include the treats we were given into my beauty and skincare routines and see the results!

See my Youtube video on the products and ramblings about the event below!
