Twilight Night Out With Evans Clothing.

Dress and bag: c/o Evans Clothing. Earrings: Blackheart Creatives. Shoes: New Look.

This look was for a night out that never happened but I decided to take some photos of it because I loved it so much anyway! Unfortunately the light had gone in my garden so unfortunately these haven't come out as well as I hoped them to be but I didn't want to waste them!

Evans Clothing sent me this dress awhile back now but I'd been saving it for said night out so it would all pull together. I'd had my eyes on this dress for months prior because I utterly adored the chiffon cape detailing as it made me feel very much Florence Welch without me ended up tangled in flowing sleeves or choking myself by sitting on said cape. (it's happened before!) Here I'm wearing a UK 20 and it's true to size, which I often find with Evans that it is very rare I'll have to size up in any of their clothing. The only issue with this dress for me is that I'd like the skirt to be shorter but I doubt anyone else would as I'm only 5'2! I do wish the photographs had picked up how fabulous the bag is as well as it really twinkles under lights with it's green sequins, for me it's not the most practical bag as I like to carry ALOT of crap with me at all times but it's super cute and just about fits my phone in and some money!

I finished the look with Voiletta Lipstick from Mac which is a gorgeous purple with a slight metallic shimmer and my Bleackheart Creatives Pom Pom Earrings which I just adore. I rarely wear my hair up because it makes me self conscious about my chubby cheeks but while I'm growing my under cut and fringe out I'm trying to do more with it!

Currently Coveting - Nicky Rockets Rocket Rider Tee.

Now I haven't done a Currently Coveting post for what seems like FOREVER ( which it actually has been like over a year!) but I've been swooning over this Nicky Rockets Baseball tee ever since they launched them but unfortunately I have limited funds at the moment so when I have some spare dollar I will definitely be purchasing this adorable top. Though it is a little saucy so I may not be saving it for Sunday best... ;)

There are so many things I love about Nicky Rockets designs but mostly that they're wearable for everyone and I feel epically bad ass when I'm wearing the selection I have! They're also ran by an equally bad ass couple. You may recognise the fabulous lady as Betty from Pamper and Curves who is one of my favourite bloggers and someone I'm also lucky enough to call a dear friend and her frankly awesome Husband is Nicky Rockets.

Here's some super old photos of me in 3 of the 4/5 tees from Nicky that I own!

You can find Nicky on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and their full range here.

Vintage Style Lingerie with Simply Be.

Floral High Waisted Lingerie Set: c/o Simply Be. Hair Scarf: Vintage. Glasses: Specsavers.

I've been meaning to post about Plus Size Vintage inspired underwear for quite some time! It's something I feel like I'm always on the hunt for as it's hard to find cute retro inspired vintage lingerie to fit a bigger body! As my tastes when it comes to fashion are quite often favouring towards times gone by, the same goes for my underwear. There is nothing more than I love than a full high waisted brief but so often they can be very basic and not all that pretty! Day to day I'm perfectly happy with this but from time to time particularly when I'm wearing my full vintage get up I like to know my underwear is equally as cute but most importantly comfortable! I'm lucky that if you look at Simply Be currently they have a number of pieces in lingerie that have an adorable vintage twist from corset styled bra's to the sweetest high waisted briefs. You can see some of my picks here, here and here

In this cute as a button floral set I wear a bra size 38DD and knickers in a UK20 and I'd say they're true to size. I've worn this set for afternoons out and while running errands and it's comfortable and doesn't really irritate me which often sets not made from cotton can do. I like a good high waist pair of knickers to wear with my high waisted skirts and I think these certainly do the job without feeling like I'm wearing hardcore shape wear. I styled this lingerie set to it's full vintage effect with my token retro red lip, some 1950s eyeliner flicks and my cat eye glasses. I also decided to add one of my many vintage chiffon headscarves to my hair and set my fringe in a Bettie Bang something I'm still coming to grips with while I'm trying to grow out my fringe! It's at that stage where it is constantly annoying me! I also filmed a little video for my YouTube Channel of this look which you can see below!

Poppy Lovely with Voodoo Vixen.

Dress and Cardigan: c/o Voodoo Vixen. Necklace: Topshop. Shoes: Evans Clothing.

I'm so happy I've finally had chance to take some photographs of this stunning dress that was sent to me by the babes at Voodoo Vixen. The weather among other things in life put getting these snaps on hold until recently! Sometimes I do wish I had somewhere other than our garden to take my blog photos unfortunately it's just that and a tripod for me!

Anyway onto the dress I absolutely adore this dress from the cut to the beautiful scalloped edging on the sleeves and neckline, it's such a darling dress. As normally it's a little too long for my short body but that is something I can easily amend myself and it isn't a fault with the dress just that all the women in my family are vertically challenged! Other than that the dress fits me really well and has a slight stretch in the fabric which very Voodoo Vixen dress I've tried has, making it hug the figure really well. The cardigan I also love and finishes the look really well but also looks so cute on it's own with a pair of jeans rolled up with my converse and a hair scarf! I kept my accessories simple with flat flats and and old classic necklace I've had for a few years from Topshop. I'm also attempted to grow out my fringe but it's in that really annoying stage where I want to cut it again so please bare with me while it looks a mess for the next few weeks!

The Dress is no longer available on Voodoo Vixens main site but you can still pick it up from Simply Be. The cardigan you can pick up from Voodoo Vixen along with this adorable bag that matches the poppy print! In VV I always wear a 2XL which fit's me perfectly and is the equality to a UK20-22.
